I like him. I was initially worried he was just gonna be a spoiled rich kid that was all talk and no real skill but this episode showed he's gone more going on. He's very tactical, thinking ahead to tie off the boats to the trees when they first went out, figuring out how to section off part of the lake and lure the monster in. He's very charismatic in that he was able to rally the people behind him and in turn, it's shown that he's beloved by his people. He not only listened to their pleas for help, but was willing to risk his life to help them.

No, not nearly to the extent of the series or with their technology, but it's a fantasy thing so I try not to overthink it. It's like criticizing Journey to the West because Taoists can't actually do magic: it's not supposed to be wholly realistic, you're just supposed to take the more fantastical elements as a given.

I think the show is addressing it by showing how the demons Dad unleashed to solve his problems have grown up and are preying on the people of his kingdom now.

If she knows it's a family crest, and wonders if it's his family's, wouldnt that mean she assumes he's from a samurai family? Commoners wouldnt have a family crest. She doesnt bring it up in this anime as often as in the manga, but she does hate samurai. It was a plot point in the live action movie she wanted to leave him when she found out about his family.

Kyoudai is also gender neutral as long there's one male. When you use it the listener doesn't need any more details because they already know or it isn't relevant in the conversation. Foreigners don't count.

Everyone else has already called you out as retarded, but still frames in an animation sequence tend to be off-model to make the animation flow a lot better. If every frame were completely on-model, the animation would look stiff and lifeless.

Even real life "works" this way, to a certain extent. Certain movements are so fast that the way the human eye perceives them is distorted. Just think of the elementary school trick of waving a pencil around until it goes "rubbery". Of course the pencil is still as stiff as always, it's just that the human eye perceives it as being rubbery. Good animation prioritizes how it will be perceived in motion over the quality of individual shots.

My understanding was that in most stories souls go to an afterlife or a random reincarnation circle by default when they die, even if a demon kills them. But making a contract with a demon usually has consequences that range from the death of the soul to renouncing heaven. So no, the demon would not get it.
