I watched the anime just recently.
The non-filler episodes are really good but the filler episodes, especially ones with Happosai are abysmal.
You're definitely in the clear for the first 20 episodes but then you'll need to start looking up filler and canon lists for Ranma episodes.
If you read the manga then filler shouldn't be an issue period and it should be great. Ukyo best girl, Shampoo a shit.

Started Tensei Pandemic tonight. It's alright, I guess. Pretty heavy Boku Girl vibes, and lots of blue balling. Turning boys into cute girls is fantastic and should be encouraged; however, turning cute girls into boys is a crime against God himself. I'm only halfway through so far, and am hoping the big-titted childhood friend doesn't also turn into a guy. Unfortunately, it seems she will.
