Just A Simple Story About Killing People is probably the best stand alone chapter in all of Soul Eater. But all the villains that came after Medusa were bland beyond compare and the way it tied into the lackluster end, with Chrona's final role in the story being used to set up a boob-joke. Makes it feel out of place in the overal story.

I don't remember the setup. All I remember is Chrona eating the Kishin.

It's a good anime, if you have the time and want to watch it go for it. Don't ignore the ost either.

Not! started way before the manga ended, we even had characters from Not! appear in the original manga. And it ended pretty much immediately after the original ended. It's a fun fanservice manga, but I'll never understand why they decided to adapt it, since it doesn't even make sense for anime-only watchers.
