Hunter x Hunter on the other hand has evolved into something higher than primal low IQ human needs. It has no fan service, high IQ power system, doesn't try to be edgy and is inspired by philosophy. You can see this with Pitou, it has no gender and is very skilled in combat and IQ. Pitou doesn't need a gender to be waifued because her desire comes from her great combat skill and its high IQ. Females in EVA are weak minded/bodied milk sacks, while women in HxH like Bisky's true form, is the true enlightened and based female form.

Let's be real here, Eva's themes, and Gainax themes in general, aren't very deep when juxtaposed against real life relationships and trauma. All of the lonely puberty symbolism didn't interest me when I was 13 and doesn't interest me now. I can definitely RELATE to them, having lived through similar pains, but it fails to captivate the imagination. I just can't force myself to give a fuck about the FAR or trite plot convolution. I'm not attracted to any of the women except Misato, because they're little girls.
But HxH does captivate me, because it draws much of its thematics from the grizzly, apathetic, and bizarrely cruel yet beautiful whims of nature. With HxH I genuinely get the feeling that anyone, even Gon, could die permanently. Even if I can rationalize the fact he won't kill the core cast, in my heart I'm always a bit shaken when I see Gon with bloody stump arms or charred and comatose. It's freaky as shit. The calamities are fucking GOLD.

You seem alright, but the whole series is a sequential psychological breakdown of Anno's mental state back then. The thing is, weebs and otakus absolutely LOVE to overanalyze the fuck out of it.

There's no "deep writing" or "depth" to most of it. The religious imagery is just there to look cool. It's all mostly pretentious due to Anno's depression at the time, so much so that the Rebuild movies almost act like an attempted "apology" to make up for how the original series concluded.
