Last time, Kanade and the rest of her classmates started learning contemporary ballet from Tamaki. While some, like Mito, seemed confused by and not all that interested in contemporary Kanade naturally was all in, excited about being able to stray from the mold. So excited that she even bought some tickets to go with Shouko to see a performance of Tamaki's.
This time, Tamaki's performance will finish up then it's off to France.

You know, some times it seems like Shouko would be the protagonist of some cliche shoujo sports series where something like this would actually eb a big deal. Of course Kanade shuts that right down.
