If Ishi(or the editor) does not change his mind he said that he is his next serie MAIN CHARACTER. All his old series are conected now, he can continue in what he called dxd universe with anothers main characters.

So, he will continue in this universe even if the current main characters would not be the Mcharacters in the next serie..

The different animation studio is no excuse for such drastic change. There are other series that got studio change and still they managed to keep at least basic similarity with previous established art style. Here we instead got total design overhaul.

To get as far away as they could from the dumpster fire that was BorN (S3) , You had nips buying the dvds only to get the bonus light novel chapters and selling the discs.

Also to actually try and match (a little bit more) the novel designs.
