I don't know what I expected but I was hoping for a pure onee-san love interest with Hyakkimaru but I guess it was too much to ask for in a series set in Feudal Japan. Anyone else had this feel?

she got more development than her source material that was a few panels of a flashback cause every wandering hero needs a tragic love story.
she was less a love interest in this adaption but had more substance as a character. I'm not upset she's dead because of the love interest aspect but found her death tragic in its own right and well done.
