Calm down. The "love triangle" is a gag and it ends Ch. 60, very explicitly.
Also, Machio is the primary reason Hibiki ever joined that gym anyway. The "romance" was always an underlying premise (and joke). It's never important and always treated as a gag. Don't worry.

Yeah, it's just a deliberately forced joke to gain a small bit of story progression the girls will graduate in a year, they need to voice future plans. But as said, with that image actually, Akemi just tells Hibiki she literally views Machio as a gym trainer and sex-object; he's fetish fuel with zero romantic interest. And, on that same page, it sets up the next chapter under a pretense of a new adult female who might already be in a relationship with Machio where we're introduced to his kouhai, a female trainer who deeply respects and idolizes him.
So, you're fine, the plot of Danberu is still cute girls doing cute lifts with a constant humorous tone and frequently erotic, yet detailed, instructions for safe and effective fitness.

All it had to do is litterally be Futari Ecchi, but about /fit/ and it`d get legendary status and run for dozen years. But it basically relegated /fit/ to comedy
