I was kind of hoping he would mess up several times and end up with like 5 Kurumi's in his head. While the animations been jank I didn't realize how much I missed this show until it started up again. The characters are so delightful.
All thanks to Origami's suffering.
He was about to fail a second time but then he used his last resort which was directly saving her parents.
I'm surprised he didn't try that first, it seems like it's the most obvious solution.
not at all-
I'm an anime only guy. Did the novel have him meet the past Kurumi? How accurate has this season been with the source?
>Did the novel have him meet the past Kurumi?
Yes.
It's like you didn't even watch the episode. There was nothing he could during his first try since he had no idea where to begin with, he didn't know where Origami was located nor what Origami parents looked like. The first try was a lost cause, the second time he tried to stop Phantom since he didn't really want to tamper with time more than needed since he had not idea what effect it could have in the new timeline but after he failed to convince Phantom he had no alternative other than save Origami's parents in a reckless way.
That could be the case in a different timeline considering the Shidou that failed to prevent Origami's fate got an idea of how to save her parents after failing a few times.
