Starting this. What am I in for?

stop now and go read manga instead right this second

I enjoyed it quite a bit. I dont think it was ever finished though.

Is the manga better than the anime?

Yes

Spoilers fool

Anime had a rushed ending which was utter crap: a fight in a volcano 100% pure cliché that's not in the original story if my memory serves me right
The manga kept going and was much better.

No one who has only watched the anime could tell you exactly what is happening in that picture or what led to that point.

Ill have to read it then

Berserk but with a female protagonist and sadly no harem.

yeah, the anime is a pretty awful adaptation really

Just remember that my wife is called Helen and we ok.

ANIME ORIGINAL(TM) ending

interesting to hear, i really liked the anime

Is it good though? I don't read much manga.

Starts as a supernatural Detective/Demon Hunter story, ends up as a battle-shonen.

Manga is better until it jumps the sharks when Isley dies. It's all horrible power level bullshit after that.

Can Helen stretch and tighten her vagina?

Prepare to be disappointed

Don't listen to these worthless nigger goyim.

Only correct user ITT

It's forgettable. I just remember boy followed strong-girl who secretly has monsters AIDS or something. I don't think there was an actual plot.

>a brainlet contrarian appears

Low iq

Better that than continuing indefinitely like most mangas. At least we got a proper ending that didn't drag out. My only complaint is that Raki never boned Clare.

Best girl Helen
Manga sucked after Battle in the North sadly

>I don't think there was an actual plot.
The plot was mostly "powerlevels," which was ashame because the artwork and setting were very nice, and could have been better applied to much more interesting themes. Light (or not) /ss/, coming of age, and finding/defining one's humanity come to mind.

That's a good way to describe it. No theme. no character development. Just gratuitous violence with crunchy sound effects.

Female Witcher

>zoomer memes

Good, but incomplete. Just read the manga.

>Good
More like "watchable, kind of. If you've got nothing better to do"

You don't belong here. It shows.

It was all downhill from here.

You're as big a crossboarder as I am, faggot

So was there an actual plot or not? As in a rhyme and a reason to what we were shown. Or can you just watch episodes in any order because there's no character development or story arch to speak of?

I'm not. I'm not the user you were arguing with either. But using zoomer and maymays makes you Fucking garbage. You should leave or keep embarrassing yourself. I don't really care.

>brainlet
>zoomer
>maymay

You're all shit

>resorting to semantics to avoid the obvious distinction in quality
Actually I think you'll like it. Enjoy

Didn't this just rip off the Witcher? How does Japan get away with this?

Yeah the story really shit the bed after that, but I still liked the ending even though it was complete bullshit.

More like a generic Berserk/Adventure rip off.
I mean
>The series initially premiered in the now defunct Monthly Shōnen Jump in the May 2001
>Implying Japan knew about Wiedźmin
>Witcher 1 got released in 2007
>Witcher didn't achive critical success before 2015+
Lineage wise its somewhat related to Elric of Melibone, but its a distant relative in a long tree of Jap adaptions.

Read the manga. Expect icky/sad vibes and nothing more.

Japan is actually one of the most aware of Poland existence in the world and there is a lot of enthusiasts regarding their works. The Witcher 1 you imply was a game, books were released in 90s, first story was released in mid 80s.

>Monster hunting warriors
>Recruited as children
>Mutated with monster stuff
>Known for their iconic swords
>Mutation alters eye color
>Only one of the sexes are mutated
>Distrusted for their mutations
>Organization that makes them is shady
I guess Claymores cant use magic and the Witcher schools cant do shady stuff since they aren't active any more. It's still a bit too much to say there wasn't some influence.

Read the manga, as other anons have said. It quite solid all the way throughout. Never really found a part that I didn’t enjoy and the power level fags are memeing you, for the most part.

Trust me OP:
The Anime ist good. Solid 8.5
Most of the Anime is a faithful adaptation of the Manga. But damn that Ending is bad.
Don't worry though, you can up the Manga right where the Anime ends.
Manga is straight up 9.5

a mediocre anime. read Angel densetsu instead.

You can't just say that and say its so.
Its one thing when you play Playstation games like Kings Field and you find very 1:1 adaptions of WRPG mechanics that predate it by a few years. Thats niche stuff being adapted by niche stuff.
Its another when franchise similarities is claimed on marked that might never have intersected.

All i am saying that using one line of text with no reference or argument makes you a terrible person and poster.
Which means nobody will believe you.

Thats true.
But what literary sources are Claymore or Wiedźmin based on?
The entire list doesn't survive scrutinity either, such as the swords or monster stuff. Or the sexes, since Witchers are sexed based on schools.
