If you’re looking for something new try the dub. It’s actually believe it or not really good. I actually felt more of an emotional attachment to the characters. I know it sounds crazy but I swear it’s good.

That’s because of the specific scene here. They do the exact same thing making the girls sound “cartoony” in the Japanese version. You just can’t understand it so it sounds better to you. also the names are fine.

I'm gonna be honest, I am not averse to dubs, but I first watched Madoka in Japanese and to me those are their voices. I just can't enjoy the English dub because it sounds wrong to me no matter how good it may be in this instance.
