this is the sort of stuff that makes anime worth it

Hibike S2 had some of the better sound acoustics I have heard in an anime.(meaning it sounds like they're actually playing in the places they're playing at)

Yea, nice attention to detail. Acoustics are even better in Liz too.

Kyoani is a good studio, i mostly don't like the kind of stories they do but what they do they do it right

I respect you user.

Self publishing so that anime can be animated to completion.

Paying their staff properly, providing them with a good working environment etc..

God this show just looks amazing.

WHENS THAT KIMONO GIRL ANIME SHIT HAPPENING FUCKING CHRIST I WANT IT

Ishidate, Yamada and Ishihara.

They're finally getting the hang of it and started getting mainstream attention, which is what they were aiming for when they stopped producing CGDCT and lighthearted shows.

They killed kadokawa

I think they did that to themselves.

nice

Tsurune

Their professionalism & attention to detail. It gives their shows plenty of re-watch value. Just look at this, they edited the painted window to be translucent and even made sure to animate the girls legs behind it. Most studio's these days are looking to cut corners wherever they can whilst Kyoani are going above and beyond for their productions.

First post best post.

photoshop apparently

I wonder how they would animate a combat scene with their techniques? Hand to hand, martial arts tournament style??

>KHK makes his autistic edit in after effects
>PHOTOSHOP APPARENTLY
You know how the CG is applied, you did it yourself. Also for the record, their Photoshop gradients are amazing.(see attached webm)

Something like this, probably. I'd love to see it.

Not gonna happen, Ishidate is one of the few animators capable of doing full body choreography in their studio and he became a director.

This is one of his oldest works alongside some cuts in Inuyasha.

not him, plenty of their animators can do it, it's just not their style.

It's not their style precisely because they have few people capable of it.

Yea right, get lost with your delusion. If you even watched their shows you would know they can easily do it. They prefer to focus on details and immersion.

their love and dedication for the craft.
they really want to make great content and it shows in all of their output.

>A typical Vovinam sparring match in a gym, but animated with KyoAni's attention to detail.

erica a cute!

This.

It's only nice when you want a Sony anime monopoly.
It's only a question of time unil Sony moves Aniplex from Sony Music Japan to SIE.
And you should know SIE's policy by now, i.e. nothing gets published without approval from SIE HQ in California who must check anything for "questionable" content.

But stock pice isn't indicative of company health, and Kadokawa Dwango still made a net profit of almost 10 million USD in FY 2018.
I would've looked at their latest reports, but their site is currently under maintenance. This might very well be another Capcom situation, where unpopular decisions lead people to believe that the company is dying.

Look. I hate Sony too, these bastards have also been censoring jap games but kusokawa refuse to pay kyoani's animators and boycott them. Maybe this will convince more people to get their works published by KA instead.

>which is what they were aiming for when they stopped producing CGDCT and lighthearted shows
OP asked for what went right, not what went horribly fucking wrong

Ok, name a good animator from their studio that can do full body choreography well besides Ishidate, Kigami and Satou.

>invest in Kadokawa
>watch your money dwindle away
>blame Kyoani
>make Kyoani hate threads

Why does this dogshit even matter? Hiroyuki Takahashi, Haruka Fujita, Kunihiro Hane and Shinpe Sawa would have no problem.

I'm sure Rie Sezaki, Nobuaki Maruki as well as every animator who worked on Violet Evergarden could do it well. Just because they don't make that cancer on a regular basis doesn't mean they cant do it. More studios should employ Kyoani's style of lots of detailed close ups. Kyoani's animators are regularly tasked with work that is far more difficult to produce.

Last time I saw you autistically complain about Kyoani and full body animation, you only listed Satou. Nice to see you've learned the names of a couple more of their animators

Fujita, Hane and Takahashi? Nigger please.
But you're right about Sawa, I looked him up and was reminded he did the idol dance for KnK. Sure, I'll give you that one.

Sezaki is a no no. I know, that crowded Hyouka cut, but no.

You're mistaking me for somebody else.

>Fujita
Ishidate's student.

>Hane
See>Takahashi
If this guy can animate those flutes in Liz then he should have problem with basic stuff like full body animation.

Full body animation isn't remarkable.

they haven’t made anything good since hyouka
jnb4 boogeyman accusations

We got to see Evergarden build on Hyouka though. We got to see Kyoani take their style to the next level.

Imagine having this kind of debilitating autism.

Kyoani is just incredibly lucky to have ishihara and kigami as their foundation

They've gone downhill hard since they started doing mostly in house LN adaptions, but it hasn't been all bad.

>They've gone downhill hard since they started doing mostly in house LN adaptions
By what standards? Pretty much all their in-house work is better.

Of their in-house LN adaptions, the only one I actually enjoyed was the first season of Chuunibyou. Everything else ranged from okay but forgettable at best (Free S1, KnK) to just plain awful (Chuu2 S2, Phantom World).

Most of the rest has been decent though, and their technical quality continues to be consistently excellent. But there's more to a show than technical merit.

They started adapting their own IPs instead of kusokawa shit.

Just imagine how good she will be in another decade or two considering how much she powered up already.

If you guys hate women so much why do you like a studio that is ruled by women?
