the only reason why he fought a "god" at the end was because his dead friend literally willed himself to the battlefield from beyond the grave and temporarily transferred BOTH of his sharringan to kakashi, somehow allowing him to instantly master a technique that took sasuke several attempts, basically going blind, and then swapping out his eyes to perfect.
