I don't understand how anyone can rationally come to this conclusion without trying to overthink the story that Negi is writing. He's not writing the greatest detective manga ever made. He's writing a harem romcom. I personally think his writing is fantastic, but some people are taking it like there's all these hidden meanings and deeper plots when there frankly isn't. The problem is that these different interpretations are based completely on headcanon or they're just trying to deny what the most likely answer is. These threads have been arguing over who Rena is for months and now that's it's pretty clear on who it could possibly be and people are trying to split Lolikano and Rena.
They're slowly coming to the realization that Rena and Lolikano is more than like Yotsuba. Everything lines up with Yotsuba and people don't like that. They wanted it to be their girl, but it's looking more and more unlikely. The only other girl that could possibly is Itsuki and that's going to take a lot of good writing from Negi and first girl magic for that to be true.
The series is fairly predictable though. The manga has been picking up steam in such a way that everything always works out in the end. Nothing is dragged out. We should have gotten more than two chapters of this National Mock Exam drama, but we got two chapters and the implication that Fuuts would have made 1st in the nation if not for his body giving out in the end.
The only thing that's up in the air is the final girl, but even then we can start making our educated guesses. For example I highly doubt Ichika is the bride. That isn't a shitpost, but someone else brought it up before. Someone like her isn't suited to win because of the underhanded behavior she pulls. The Miku crossdress was a horrible thing for her to do. I'm disappointed that we didn't get that plot point wrapped up in the next chapter, but it will come to bite her in the ass. You don't reward that behavior.

Let's start with the biggest point.
The charm. Only one of them could have known the significance of the charm. Itsuki tells Fuutarou that she doesn't remember if she bought it or if she received it as a gift when they were in Kyoto. Fuutarou doesn't explain the significance of the charm when Itsuki shows us the charm, but we know the reason. The reason is that the girl he spent the day with bought 5 charms. This leads Fuutarou to believe that one of the girls is the girl from his past.
If Rena was a different person than Lolikano then she would have never known the significance of the charm and thus would not have used it as a trade-off for the picture. Rena knew the charm was something that Fuutarou would recognize and would prove to him that she was the little girl he met in Kyoto.
That realistically leaves us with two girls and that's Yotsuba and Itsuki. Only reason why I even include Itsuki is because of the main girl power and I can honestly see a way Negi could write Itsuki in as Rena and Lolikano, but with the current information then Yotsuba makes more sense.
Rena also states that she tried to dress the same way she looked when they first met and the reason she wears the hat is to disguise herself and some of her mannerisms. She knows what she was wearing the day she met Fuutarou, but none of the other girls should know. Only one girl met Fuutarou and that girl was Rena. If they had all met Fuutarou on that day then Nino would have reacted differently when she saw his picture. She truly did not know who he was when she saw that picture. Are people going to tell me that Fuutarou only met 4 of the Quints in Kyoto?

The meeting could have been prior to the track practice. This would have given Yotsuba plenty of time to change out of her Rena outfit and into her track outfit as she was already supposed to be in the area. It took Fuutarou quite a bit to get out of the water and to collect himself before he ran into Yotsuba.

Fuutarou wasn't trying to break Rena into admitting to being anyone. Yotsuba could easily handle something like that.

No, I mean that everything is always being resolved for the better. This story is basically a feel good story until we hit the point where girls will start falling in the war against the True Bride. I think this is best reflected with Fuutaro getting 3rd place in the nation. They implied that he would have gotten 1st if he had not fallen asleep. That's simply insane. That's some Mary Sue writing in which you needed a slight obstacle instead of a serious one to show you're not perfect, but at the same time still perfect. If he had gotten 9th or 10th then it might have been better and had a little more substance, but this win was a win through and through. I was surprised Negi didn't just give him the number 1. He basically did anyway.

Kind of. I think we're seeing it more with current romcoms out. The difference is that Negi has a story to tell. That's why we're seeing expectation being subverted. A lot of people aren't used to a fluid RomCom type of story when we normally get Nisekoi monster of the week stories. Bokuben is currently suffering right now. It's seen as the successor of Nisekoi, but it's Nisekoi formula, while popular, is obviously being trounced by Negi's fluid story telling. That's why Bokuben is having a hard time adjusting from problem of the week to somewhat fluid story telling.

Currently I believe he met at least two quints in the past and on of them was Yotsuba. Why? Because the main gimmick of the series will be used again and again.

She could have been pushed more for time, but we simply don't know. The meeting between them couldn't have lasted that long as they only went on a row boat ride and lakes in the middle of Japanese parks with fountains aren't exactly the largest. She never fell in the water. At most she gets hit from water that was sprayed from the fountain, but she was wearing a hat and long sleeves. She shouldn't have gotten that wet especially if she changed her clothes right after.
If it was before the track meet then they would have had time to pull this off especially if the track meet started fairly close to the area.

Here's the thing about your reasons. Yotsuba is not really deceiving anyone. We're not talking about a mastermind here. If Lolikano, Rena, and Yotsuba are all the same person then the only thing she's actually lying about is her name being Rena. Since Fuutarou wasn't even sure she was one of the Quints or at the very least not interested into digging into Rena's true identity then Yotsuba would have no problem pulling something like this off.
The other two Quints you gave are actually terrible example. Ichika would not have used this opportunity to sever their connection. She would have used it as an emotional rocket launcher to propel herself as the winner of the Fuutaroubowl. We already know that Ichika has been a snake for most of her life. She's not self-sacrificing. She just waits in the grass until she has the best time to strike.
Miku on the other hand is a coward. Her inactions aren't for the betterment of Fuutarou or her sisters. They're because she's a coward. To ask her to sever a relationship like this would be insane to her. This is something akin to a destiny meeting. To find out the boy you met 5 years ago held you in such regard. It would be like destiny and this would likely just feed into Miku being the best girl for him.
Yotsuba on the other hand does nothing but self sacrifice. Her entire being is just being one big sacrifice. I wouldn't be surprised if Negi made her the bride to just show us that the best life can be led is through sacrifice of your own happiness. That one day you just might be happy. She's also the dumbest quint and loves to give people luck so for her to seek out charms to help with school and for her to buy one for everyone, you kind of see it being more in line with Yotsuba than any of the other girls.

No, you're mistaking something here and disregarding facts yourself. The reason I say that Ichika has always been a snake is because of the conversation she had with Yotsuba where Yotsuba reminded Ichika of all the crappy stuff that she did to her. Taking all of her candy, stealing all of her stickers, and talking to the person she wanted to befriend first. Sure, Ichika matured in someways, but in other ways she did not. She loves her sisters, but she will not let her sisters get in the way of what she wants to do. She was willing to ignore the fireworks, that meant the world to Nino, so she could work on her acting career. She'll destroy Miku's chances in most sneaky way possible to get Fuutarou. We should also mention the horrible thing she was planning with Fuutarou's birthday presents. If it wasn't for Nino's lack of brakes and Yotsuba's pureness (or 4D Chess) then she would have gotten her way of looking the best in Fuutarou's eyes. Don't get distracted by me calling her a snake. She clearly acts like a "snake in the grass", but there's clear merit.
Miku is a coward. Miku calls herself a coward. Miku complains to the reader that she's a coward. I'm not making this up. This is coming straight from the horse's mouth. Her actions are always due to the fact that she can't face Fuutarou honestly. Miku is trying to level herself up and hope to one day confess to Fuutarou as the perfect girl. That's why she's working at the rival bakery. That's why she's trying to be the highest scoring Quint. That's why she's hoping Fuutarou will always know that he's talking to her even without the headphones.
Ichika has not sacrificed anything outside of her money. Miku has decided to turtle herself up until she can blow Fuutarou away. Nino is the only Quit that's honest and is attacking with all her power.

I disagree wholeheartedly. Why? At this point Ichika was still the kind and teasing Onee-san that has her inner conflict. It would be totally consistent with her character that she is able to quickly graps what is the main issue (Fuutarou being fixated on Rena) and resolves it by erasing the fictional character (fiction inside a fiction) from his life.
Miku is a coward but also very good at observing things. From the beginning of the arc she was presented as being very protective of Fuutarou towards. It's not out of character for her help him.
You keep your focus on the severing of the relationship that would be suicidal for Ichika/Miku. How so? Fuutarou doesn't know who Rena is. Therefore no consequence. The characters from chapter 75 also differ from the ones in chapter 41.
Yotsuba will always help even to the point of destroying herself in the process. But her being Rena feels too convoluted for her angelic self.
