Yea Forums sings Soramimi Cake
Oh yeah, there's another user doing the Bunny Girl Senpai ED and Zombieland Saga OP. Go contribute to his projects too.

C'mon Azuchads, get the fuck in here.
bump x2
Alright cool apparently no one gives a shit, last bump.
how many recordings do you have so far?
Only 4 so far
no no no
not another one of these
Oh yes, another one
Don't worry user this one won't be like what happened with the huntermumblers
Hopefully my mic is up to the task. I'm excited for this one. Ganbatte anons!
Thanks, man. I couldn't tell if it was EU time or latenight anons but I didn't get bumps till past I was schleep.
No problem, at least you got some though.
bump
i have a question
do all submissions get picked for the final product or there are some left out?
Well I'd like to include everyone, but if I get a really bad mumbler I'll probably ask them to resubmit with a better version, and if they don't, then I'll probably leave them out.
I don't care how bad your voice sounds but if you're mumbling or whispering the whole time I might not include you.
If you don't want to sing loud because there's always people around or something, go out somewhere you can be alone.
I've heard there was an user once who drove out into the middle of a forest or some shit to record.
So don't mumble. That's pretty much my only requirement. Like I said I want to include everyone but I don't want this to end up like the huntermumbler catastrophe.
I never thought I'd have to memorize the second half of Soramimi Cake. This is hard.
you can do it man
がんばってくださいね!
>practice singing
>mic stand magically slips off desk and breaks
My mic didn't break thankfully but god damn, really? Probably the curse of Jizzy.
>curse of Jizzy.

I heard he pissed off the mods and drawfags for something and got his trip banned. Just suddenly no more traces of him. Dead?
I'm having troubles deciding visuals for my projects, considering this, I don't know if I want to ask and request drawfags for images in case they hate my guts too. Anyone feeling like making some shit meme shops for Zombieland and Bunnygirl? I could do a slideshow for each of them if I get enough shitposts.
>This masterpiece is almost as old as me
WONDERLAND
FAIRYLAND
I wish it was just TV size, I barely know any if the other lyrics.
I didn't even know the first half by heart. Took me about a week to memorize it completely. I'm currently implementing the same strategies to memorize part two. I believe in you!
I-I care.
Still waiting for the sax
Right the faggot that ruined the Luluco OP with his "ironic" shitty edit where everyone was terribly out of sync because it's "funny".
You hate his guts? That's a shame I guess, I'd be down to join his projects again if he ever shows up again. Till then I have faith newer mixers to take the mantle.
>I'm currently implementing the same strategies to memorize part two. I believe in you!
Please share, I could use all the help I can get.
bumpin
...what? why memorize when you can have the script in front of you?
OP, I've never watched azumanga before, or heard the song, but I'll listen and watch some because I've always wanted to participate in an Yea Forums sing along, so thanks for giving me something to do.
Was feeling pretty bad but this is something that I could have fun with, so really, thanks
I think he meant memorizing the pronunciation.
>Azuchads
You aren't going to attract anyone if you keep speaking like that.
In that case,
Not him, but what I do when I want to learn pronunciation of OP lyrics, I start on a youtube upload of the OP at .5x speed. When I'm comfortable with that, I go to .75x. Then to normal speed. works every time
not him, but I have rewritten most of the lyrics so that I can read them better
for example, the first quote says "Piano wa sekai no yume saku nohara ni merodii" and I translated that into "Piano wa sekai noyu mesa kunohara ni merodii", which makes it easier to not fuck up when reading
this can be applied to most of the second half to help yourself understand the timing of the song better.
Any word on whether or not Azuma intends to do anything for anniversary?
Something that helps me out with learning the rhythmic breakdown of a passage is actually physically breaking up the words in a word document. This becomes a visual cue that allows me to remember that there is beat in between each syllable. In order to figure out the proper beat I will listen to the song and then repeat that rhythm at a slower pace - no pitch. (pic related - the "^" indicates a higher pitch than I would think, the "-" indicates that there is a beat.)
Once I've marked everything I will alternate between listening to the song and then speaking it -no pitch- at a slower tempo. Alternating allows me to make sure I'm accenting the proper beats while also giving me the pronunciation practice I need.
I keep doing this until I am up to speed with the song. Once I can speak it up to speed, I add the proper pitching.
also not him, but I just sing along while driving alone until I get the hang of it.
I speak nip tho, so I guess I have somewhat of an advantage in learning those lyrics.
Can't imagine how hard it would be learning a whole song in a language you can't speak.
Also, if a word is giving me a hard time pronunciation-wise I will focus on saying said word in isolation and then part of the full sentence (while always making sure I'm using the proper rhythm while reciting). "danro" for example fucks me up every single time. I don't know why but it feels awkward on the tongue going from the "n" to the japanese "r" sound.
For memorization, I use a chunking method. Once I'm feeling a bit more confident about the words/pronunciation I'll start by singing/reading aloud and then I'll close my eyes and try to continue on until I don't remember what comes next. At this point I'll take a peek for a cue word that might spark my memory. If no memory is sparked I will just reread that passage until the cue word starts working.
I don't think I'm so determined that I will memorize the second half line by line though. I only intend to focus on the rhythm and pitch.
>Have perfect pronounciation
>Tone deaf
Guess it just wasn't meant to be.
>can sing it perfectly while whispering
>get fatigued and run out of breath singing out loud
Working out A LOT of bugs in my mic setup and my tone on sax. The more I record the more problems I find. Getting it dialed in, though.
Also I copped a two week ban for shenanigans on another board and I’m ban evading right now, so I won’t be in the threads much.
try a medium voice then
>Tone deaf
That's half of the people that contribute anyways. That's what makes it fun!
I'm transposing the clarinet sheet music as fast as I can!!
I'm the same. It really just takes practice after you've got the lyrics down.
Alright, I'll try to sing for you OP

This was a thing of beauty.
Let's keep this thread going lads

How many submissions are there so far so Soramimi Cake?
How many submissions are there so far for Bunny Girl Senpai and Zombieland Saga?
6-7 Bunny Girl
3-4 Zombieland
We have until the end of March so I'm not worried.
Nice. Those numbers will only rise as the days pass on.
Got about 6 now
Also I didn't expect the thread to actually last this long
Well done, Yea Forumsnons
Someone just direct him to our stream and Yea Forums sings project.
*it seems like there isn't anything for the 20th anniversary except for these.
If we're referring to the author, I believe he's done with the series. Just Yotsuba and etc. now.
imagine having azuma send his recording for an Yea Forums sings
someone contact him
Here's his twitter, someone who know Nip contact him: twitter.com
I don't know if anybody's pointed this out yet, but I think the reason it's hard to sing is because it's made for two alternating voices. It's kind of cruel to sing it all at once.
I noticed that. What I did was just pause my recording once I start running out of breath then resume when I'm ready again. You might have to make some slight adjustments to get everything to sync up right with the music though.
Soramimi Cake? Yeah, I have several cuts playing into one. You guys should do it too. Zombieland is somewhat similar but it seems the song was designed to sing along with, they purposely spaced out a lot of lines. Between the tempo, the chorus adjusts itself multiple times ready for voices.
dun die
Told my IRL friend about it. We'll send you that good shit soon enough.
Thanks for the opportunity, OP.
Bump
stayin alive
waiting for the sax still
Ill try, It is better to sing by parts then combine everything un one piece?
Yes. Soramimi Cake is not naturally sang with a single take so you'll trip up the lyrics faster than I can crush a can for Jay Owen. Please consider the other two projects too, please!
Man, why are all of these songs so hard to sing
Didn't Yea Forums once sing a song from Hunter X Hunter?
Yes, Hunterchads. We know.
Yeah, it's up for the two mixers here to really shine or else any Yea Forums sings in the future will be remembered as Yea Forums whispers. I have faith in them though.
No. It's not our fault. They were legit whispering. We both decided that if they're not going to fix their vocals, they're last priority.
youtu.be
I worked on this before Yea Forums sings Triple Threat. At least one or two guys were whispering. And you can tell everyone was singing normally and the mixing was normal as well. Simply put, I don't care how bad of a singer you are, if you can't sing normally, you might as well go back to Hunterch/a/ds.
Also for the record, everyone who submitted so far to Bunny Girl didn't whisper. I have tone-deaf BAD anons but none of them afraid of singing. Which is fine by my books. Once the rest of the submissions are pouring in, I'll even demo a preview to stop this Hunterch/a/d bullshit. Seriously, it's just their fault for not trying. I hardly blame the mixer.
This
Don't worry guise, there will never be an Yea Forums sings that disastrous again. At least not any I'm gonna mix, and I plan on doing many more.
I meant it's up to the mixers to ensure they don't put in whispering anons so the project is good (which from the Bunny Girl Senpai ED, everything seems good)Not blaming the mixers.
Oh I will bare the responsibility, I am mixing everyone's and hopefully your voice. I didn't say 'I won't' include them. They're just last on my list when everyone else is putting a jolly good effort. I want Yea Forums sings to be remembered like Bedford, Sk/a/ttack, HowDo Itrip, and Jizzy. And I was inexperienced at some point too and one of them told me to speak up if I wanted to hear my voice.
But if I want to make good impressions, that is also user's part to do good too. I will not fear monger into anons screaming their hearts out, just beat them senseless until you can't tell if they're crying or laughing.
What octave are you singing in? The original is a bit straining but it might be worth it.
Sing what suits your range. It often is better since the majority are all guys anyways.
Thank you all very much. I'll be focusing on learning it all in the coming days.
one of the best OPs ever
>going against whispering aka the natural state of Yea Forumsnons
Shameful.
I'm gonna wait for my dorm to clear out for spring break and try to do a version as loud as possible.
>whispering aka the natural state of Yea Forumsnons
a true Yea Forumsutist screams anime openings to the top of his lungs, but you wouldn't know that now, would you?
That doesn't sound like whispering to me.
youtu.be
Probably be waiting until March 30th or so. I’ve decided that I don’t have the control anymore to play my modified breath attack like I used to so I’m going to have to figure out how to tounge it properly like a normal human being.
have some osakas
I agree
