Episode 93: 交わした約束 – Kawashita Yakusoku (The Promise) Knowing the ins and outs of Playmaker's deck, Kusanagi launches a relentless attack against him and does all he can to protect Jin. On the other hand, Playmaker just can't attack his partner, and his Life Point is now dangerously low. Kusanagi then starts talking about the promise the two of them made in the past.

So Bowman vs SB and Revolver vs Lightning next right? Bowman defeats SB and gets Windy and Flame data. Revolver beats Lightning, but Bowman steals his kill and hitotsu ni's with him. Finally PM and Revolver vs Neo New Super Bara Bowman.

No good music. 5Ds is peak anime duelling because Yusei's themes can make any duel hype. It's the same with Yugi's theme, it makes you think "oh shit" because you know a bullshit combo or summon is incoming as soon as it starts.

Arc-v had a decline in it's writing yes, but for every Battle Beast there was a Yuya vs Ruri 6 Serena to make up for it. I might be oberly subjective but I can't name a single vrains duel I actually liked. Just like the characters, the duels are static untill someone wins.

this also the boring terrain, yugioh has always made an effort to make the dueling places interesting and varied (duel kingdom, school in a island, industrial shit in 5'd, etc) yet here, in the internet world, in the frigging internet world we have the most simplest and boring terrain for duels.

That is what I thought. Lightning losing his cool against Spectre raised his losing flag to lose to Revolver who they have been sort of setting up as a duel. Plus with Structure deck shilling he's toast.

This arc is really weird. Lightning is the only real antagonist since Bohman doesnt have a real will and it feels like the bad guys had no fucking chance at all with their small numbers and 90% being jobbers.

That aside, personally I expect a total meltdown from Lightning. It sounds like Revolver's gonna lay out all his secrets and that won't go down well. Also Yoshida's writing it so there's plot stuff ahead.
