She didn't deserve it
She didn't deserve it
FUCK that movie, my god is was way to depressive to be enjoyable
Do you know that feeling you get when you look at a word and it just doesn't look like it's a real word at all? I get that with "depressive".
Maybe I have brain problems. I've used the word in the past but recently it looks foreign to me and I don't know why.
>She didn't deserve it
Yeah she deserved far worse
He's not using it right. The correct conjugation is "depressing". "Depressive" means "prone to being depressed", and is used to describe people who get depressed easily, not things that *make* people depressed.
what's the story behind that big X on her face?
She’s a human tic tac toe enthusiast
But user, she did deserved it. She should have changed a bit at least, like he did
That's a big "no" inside the guy's head and emotions
Damn he just shut her down and then pimp slapped her
She's still not as bad as the glasses bitch. That one deserved to be thrown in a tribal cannabalistic village.
Great ending and great characters.
IIRC it basically represents the MC's need to isolate himself from society and avoid associating himself with people due to the guilt he feels over bullying Nishimya.
She was honest to a fault.
>1 kid bullied crippled kid
>his friends bullied crippled kid too
>shit got found out, every other kid blamed on first kid
>now everyone bullied first kid
>they got away at the end
How is it fair?
Both bitches are the fucking same
Every bit and more. She's gonna spend the rest of her days pleasing groups of fat old men and (you) and will love every bit of it
Yeah she did. She was part of the group that threw MC under the bus, and later assaulted a deaf girl. Ueno was a giant cunt, and I was happy when Nishimom beat the shit out of her
That's called being a cunt.
She does deserve the hate, but the only one that undoubtedly deserves to suffer and burn is Kawai.
Kawai actually has a personality disorder, though
Ueno is literally just a gigantic cunt
Sup
It's not. Life is not fair but you have to find a way to deal with it, that's part of the whole theme.
Its okay because, in the end, he's a better person then them. hah
rape marks
How do people willingly watch stuff that makes them sad almost 100% of the time. I don't get the appeal
He got to have chex with the deaf girl in the end.
It has a happy ending though.
feeling sad is preferable to feeling nothing at all
her drunken dad super glued a huge cardboard x on her face when she was little and there was no way for the doctors to remove it without mutilating her face
Are you the kind of person who keeps complaining about "fake friends" on twitter
there's beauty in sadness (this post brought to you by facebook)
I'm the kind of person who doesn't have a twitter account to begin with
Yeah, crying girls get me hard too, I understand.
same, except i self insert as those crying girls
this would make a great tweet
Could you please tell me why that matters? What does her, deserving something else than what she got matter to what she actually got?
Look it's a toddler, whose brain hasn't finished developing yet, trying to figure out empathy. Nature is pretty metal you guys.
Why did he bully? Makes me feel sad that I never experienced any human interaction, but even a bad one worked out for him.
She is clearly adolescent.
Peer pressure and approval.
>great ending
Fuck no it wasn't. The only other romance I've seen with a worse ending was Fujiyama-san. I at least wanna see a ffw to their cute kids in a few years or something. For all I know, they broke up a year later and she's fucking some chad.
What the fuck is your problem?
Kinda happy
I followed this manga since the one shot was released and God damn me for wanting some closure I guess. I hate wish-washy shitty endings that feel like cop-outs. It's supposed to be symbolic and deep or whatever, but it's a fucking romance manga, there needs to be an ending with some sort of substance.
Why can't it be about reconsilieation and finding a way to move on forward out of the darkness and depression? Why are you introducing these weird ass power dynamics in sex "fucking some chad" completely unnecessary. Why is it that after reading/seeing a beautiful romance story conclude happily your mind darts across into the cuck land?
Whatever that doesn't even really matter. So if the arc ended with a bunch of brats tying them down you'd be like "Haha bitch, can't leave now." huh?
I just want a happy ending. This ending gave me flashbacks to katawa shoujo, where the writer of Hanako's route came back a few years later and wrote some garbage about how they split up after graduating and she became a strong woman who didn't need no man. They meet up again later and fuck, but I can't help but feel cucked by that ending. My brain doesn't know wether to except it as canon or just ignore it. I can't handle the same thing happening again with another good romance.
Also the kid thing was just an example, I just want a definite happy ending that isn't open to interpretation.
I commend her for doing a public service in weeding out the weak from the strong. to this day I thank my bully for teaching me to stand up for myself.
I think it would’ve been more romantic if the reason was that he liked her.
lol
2D Romance PTSD. Never seen this before. Maybe I need to read more, at any rate I understand it more now. Hope you find your happy endings, user.
>I just want a definite happy ending that isn't open to interpretation
Well obviously they get together. I'm sorry you're so damn stupid you absolutely need it spelled out for you.
>Ueno thread
my bully made me strong, i rode on hate for 6 years and became a long distance runner, boxer, and grappler.
I have no hate anymore when I found out he works at a pizza hut nearly ten years later and we are almost thirty, he is balding and getting fat with two kids.
I own a house and live with someone.
Bullying has multiple levels, a bully isn't always a bad thing. Conflict is part of life.
However an entire classroom ostracizing one kid... can't promote that.
That kid will grow to be a killer and hurt others or be a drain on society usually.
>I was content when I learned the guy isn't doing as well as me.
Did you really get over that? Sounds like you're petty as fuck and just glad life fucked the guy over.
>Chad bullies some faggot
>friends bully him too to fit in and get chad's approval
>wanting them to be punished too
100% fair
>taking enjoyment knowing someone who deserves to be in pain is in pain is petty
Being petty would be gloating about it in my free time, I don't think about it and other than this conversation which is entirely relevant to the original post I responded to. I could care less.
Do you not smirk when someone who was speeding erratically or dangerously gets pulled over or crashes?
Yes you do.
You also continue to drive and stop thinking about it moments after.
>Being petty would be gloating about it in my free time,
You're doing that, RIGHT NOW.
>I could care less.
Okay, care less.
>taking enjoyment knowing someone who deserves to be in pain is in pain is petty
Why does he deserve to be in pain? Kids don't have the empathy part of their brain developed yet so if someone was a bully it was because they learned that shit at home and couldn't express their hurt in any other way. You sound like an evil shitty person the more we talk.
Congratulations on learning to stand up for yourself I guess. I don't want to continue this anymore.
Bye.
kids are brainlets, if you think that your bully deserve the situation he is in because he bullied you years before you're either still butthurt or dumb
>You're doing that, RIGHT NOW.
Yeah no, you need to understand responding to a post with a story that is relevant is not gloating. Thinking otherwise is flat out silly.
Now you're being petty for trying to provoke an argument when you're clearly in the wrong.
>why does he deserve to be in paid
Because society dictates that kid.
We act like good boys and girls because we hope that we are rewarded or punished for our actions. If people continue to see negative people being rewarded they will begin to become negative themselves.
If you can't understand that you're going to have a tough life.
So at what point does he not deserve it?
Let's see you grand logic that states a horrible young man deserves to have a good adulthood.
By the way, we all know the bait you're throwing out is weak. I just want to know what kind of logic loops you'll try to jump through to justify such a horrible life philosophy that bad people deserve to have good things happen to them.
She kinda did at that moment, but it doesn't really matter, she won the shouyabowl at the end anyways.
She was about the only character in the series that was actually honest about things and wasn't just running away or hiding everything.
She might not have won the Shoyabowl but she did win the Saharabowl which is even better.
>great ending
>great characters
lol fucking no
It's another case of the one shot being 100x better.
The only character I really had issue with was Mashiba who didn't seem to add much of anything beyond giving Shoya another guy friend. His shit about hating bullies and all that came out of -- and went -- nowhere and he doesn't bring anything to the plot aside from giving Kawai an excuse to join up which could be accomplished in a dozen other ways.
Kawai's at least got the fact she's actually not intentionally trying to be a bitch, she's just got textbook Borderline Personality Disorder and really does think she's the ultra-helpful and popular class rep type which makes her interesting. Mashiba's got nothing.
ALPHA
AS
FUCK
i had no fucking idea that they made a movie
She got off light. Nishimom should've broken her fucking neck
I love her. I hope Sahara fucks her gently. And by gently, I mean mercilessly, day in and day out.
Ueno did nothing wrong. She hated Shouko not just because she was competition but because she wanted to Shouko to start honestly sharing the way she feels. Based motivational guru Ueno.
Sahara is definitely the one in charge of that relationship.
>cyanide
you dirty crossboarder
While the theme of the characters was their inability to comunicate, and it creating irony with a literal mute on the group, Ueno's deal is that she won't listen. Whats the point of her being up front and what you call "honest" (I would call obnoxious) about what she believes? Most of what she says are interpretations that she assumed, and also quite a lot of projection in them. She can grow as the manga suggests at the ending, but her redeeming arc is shutting up and ACTUALLY listening to people. Uenofags are as bad as her, damn.
Why was the manga so superior to the movie?
More time to develop literally everything
SHE GOT AWAY WITH EVERYTHING
Pretty much. Honestly the movie should have been a series. There's too much material in the manga to fit into a single movie.
The actual villain. I never understood the hate for Ueno when this bitch existed.
But Kawai is kawaii. I want to have a hatesex with Kawaii
I don't defend her as a saint or anything. She's the most dynamic and interesting character in the series, flaws and all which helps make her more interesting.
She never really did much of anything though. That's kind of the point. She was more passive and kind of just stood around and laughed with everyone, not actively picking on Shouko the way Shoya (and I think Ueno?) was though she probably talked shit behind her back like almost everyone else. I mean she did out him to Mashiba which was bitchy but the entire situation came about because he got paranoid then started sperging out on her, basically going on about how he thought she totally told everyone then started flipping out and yelling at her.
She did get her comeuppance though because someone like her who holds a high opinion of herself and genuinely believes she's a good person who works hard and does all the right things to find out that everyone pretty much hates her and thinks she's trash fucked with her. She was so disconnected that she didn't realize just how badly that stuff affects people and when she got even a small taste of it she completely cracked. Hell, it's kind of implied in her focus chapter that it's all self-delusion on her part to bury her own feelings of inadequacy.
She's frustrating because there's lots and lots of people who think and act like her (think of the slacktivist types for example) but that's also what makes her an interesting character.
It's not that there isn't hate for her, it's just that she doesn't have apoligists like Uenofags so there's no arguement to be had
Nice MC design.
>Congratulations on learning to stand up for yourself I guess. I don't want to continue this anymore.
>Bye.
Does it count if I'm a pseudo-apologist for Kawai?
Best girl
exception that proves the rule, more confusing than irritating
I'm not interested in anything.
I don't so much excuse her actions (or inactions) as much as I think she's pretty interesting and doesn't quite deserve the amount of hate she receives. She realized exactly how much she'd fucked up with her own inaction and gained a bit more self-awareness, hence why she went back to the braids and glasses. She's not an irredeemable mega-bitch and the rest of the group wouldn't have continued hanging around her (and cheerfully reuniting with her) if she was.
I think she could've gotten a little more focus to have a clearer arc but I think a lot of problems like that you can chalk up to this being Ooima's first real ongoing series sos he was feeling things out as she went. The last 1/3 or so of the series feels like she largely knew where she wanted to go, just not really how to get there and starts feeling rushed as a result.
Honestly the only really bad character in the series is Mashiba and it's not because he's an asshole but because he's boring, has zero depth and largely adds nothing to the group or plot. His role would've been better filled by one of Shoya's other childhood friends or something.
I want to lick her asshole.
>You sound like an evil shitty person the more we talk.
Would have been fine to end with.
>Congratulations on learning to stand up for yourself I guess.
>I guess.
You're really pushing it here with the passive aggressiveness. But if you ended here I guess I could say you were just having a bad day, maybe you're on your period or something.
>I don't want to continue this anymore.
Yet you wanted to continue enough to write all that out, respond FURTHER, and then fill out the captcha to send, instead of walking away, closing the tab, ending the conversation, which you clearly wanted to given that's what you said
>Bye.
Based
This is the big gay.
Literally the only thing keeping them apart was Shoya's guilt, which is shown throughout the manga by him being afraid to touch her. Him stridently grabbing her hand at the end shows that he finally, after years of anguish, forgave himself, and presumably got together with her. How the fuck is that not a happy ending
GO GO
It was overshadowed by your name
Part of that could be semantic satiation, which is when you read/say a word too many times that you kinda forget it's just a fragment with meaning and interpret it as lines or sounds, or could be some other kind of dissociation. Does anything else like that happen to you?
Holy shit the cast in this manga is so unlikeable, most of them dont deserve forgiveness or hapiness.
It was never a romance manga.
Manga should've ended where the movie did.
Redemption, forgiveness, virgin mary and some shit like that.
