Is that Hank Hill's Japanese brother?

Madoka is time travel done right

I started reading this just now. What's waiting for me?

Taniguchi's art is a pinnacle of manga. Especially scenery.

It really is, everything I’ve read is insanely good. I wonder why none of his works have been adapted though.

They are suited for live action adaptation. Solid plot and mature theme, subtle depiction. Actually, this one was adapted into a French movie.

This is also one of the best manga in general. Gotta reread it soon.
I always loved the scene where he's really enjoying the whiskey with his one friend, and said friend calls him an old man for enjoying it the way he does.

Is it any good?

It’s pretty moving, father-son relationship/narratives are always that way.

So far this is familiar Isekai. The MC is born again as middle schooler and because he knows everything, he suddenly becomes top scorer, drinks whiskey and goes out with the prettiest garu in the class. Really fun.

but then why hasn’t there been many live action from japan? I could easily see hirokazu koreeda adaptation here

I’m talking about the French film, I already think the manga is a masterpiece

that’s not even manga

I didn't watch it. You can enjoy the trailer on Youtube. youtube.com/watch?v=_qR2OOnMuDs
Looks they took only the plot.

it´s Erased, but less insteresting

Taniguchi art is good, but nothing special, and his characters look emotionless most of the time.

There is also an american movie that follows a similar plot line but I doubt the director ever read the manga or knew it existed. It's called 17 again.

>it’s erased but less interesting
yikes

Erased is a good example of time travel done wrong, to be honest. Literally what even was the takeaway message from that series? Absolutely no nuance to the plot, at all. Honestly pretty appalling you’d compare the two.

Anons, I came to the last chapter. The secret of MC's daddy is going to be revealed. I can't stand it. I'm going to nearby Taco bell and grab something before going on.

I finished reading. Midlife crisis, the manga. It's really like a good movie. The last twist is also good.

The reason the daddy left his family, is it convincing enough to you?

Not yet, maybe it’ll be convincing to me one day though.

If you liked this one, you should check out Undercurrent by Tetsuya Toyoda.

>time travel done right
no such thing, your post is invalid.

from a narrative standpoint, it really does though

Yea

His hard boiled stuff is brilliant.
