It's actually incredible watching all of this play out. Boruto successfully covers for his dad falling to his knees, gets Delta to turn her back to him, and wastes some fraction of a second of her time getting to absorb it. Then she just leaps over to Himawari and in this time, Naruto's did nothing. And the only flaw was that Delta was so stupid that she only now realized she could do this.
