Anime has done this for ages, it's called a pillow shit. It's meant to lead you into the world, by showing objects in side it almost from a 1st person perspective. It was done much more heavily in the 90s, and in certain slow paced SOL shows. Here, it's probably used to show the idealic setting in a more horror-ish way by focusing on the normalcy of them, along with the slower build up pacing. Really though, most will find this boring and the series should have just been a movie, and when they edit one eventually will probably be much better recieved.

This is a common problem with manga adaptations (among other things), and almost an omni-present issue with Light/Visual Novel adaptations, which ALL rely on narration or inner monologues to tell their story.
In the case of Promised Neverland, what the fuck ever happened to just putting a slight filter over the character's voice and not moving their mouth? That 100% conveys "inner thoughts" to the audience and is extremely easy to do.

I don't know what an autistic thought sounds like, but a healthy person doesn't think in language, doesn't form full sentences and certainly doesn't literally pronounce "Oh, no!" all the time. You especially don't hear your own muffled echoing voice while staring at a single spot for 10 seconds so you can, you know, "think". That's not how a brain works.
It makes sense to write "thoughts" on paper, which is closer to first-person narration than thoughts. Plus, a panel doesn't have a set time frame on how long it lasts.
TV is a different medium over manga. What did you expect, manga screenshots? What's next, fags complaining that anime has music and color while manga doesn't? Wouldn't that be deviating from source material too?

It's because if the source material is above average, the chances are that the adaption will be worse, because the odds are skewed towards the staff in charge of the adaption being less talented.
But there are still great adaptions - just this season I can name 2 shows with top tier adaptions.
It's also possible to dislike changes to an adaption, but still really enjoy what they did - I feel that way about Koe no Katachi and Heaven's Feel II to bring up two recent ones.

There was literally no emotional scenes in the first arc of the manga and the anime tried it's best to at least fix that. These children get something emotionally scarring revealed to them and just immediately resolve to "oh well, time to escape!" The average child would be shaken for weeks after finding out about the demons. It's a fun suspense manga, but you're lying to yourself if you honestly think it has the necessary amount of emotional scenes.

They're following the manga, but internal monologues are cut out completely without anything to replace them to explain the characters. Characters feel pared down thanks to both this and shitty anime character designs not conveying expressions correctly (Emma is dumber, Norman is missing his edgy side, Ray is less sympathetic)
Direction is very hacky, they waste time on weird camera shots that aren't effective, while losing out on the stuff that worked in the manga.
Just a lot of bad choices being made every episode, no one thing in particular aside from the "no internal monologue" as a rule.

Most of the inner dialogue falls into one of two categories.
>Superfluous information
>Something you can gauge from the way the characters act towards each other.
You see the latter in the interaction between Norman and Krome, when Krome offers an alliance.
The art is really a lot more lackluster than it had to be, though. The volume covers especially provided a groundwork for something unique and storybook-like, as opposed to the generic style we're seeing in the anime.
