So let me get this straight: not only shamans were shown to be far more powerful than humans, and not an sidelined community like in the beginning, but important historical figures like fucking jesus christ were implied to be shamans, and humans that are not manta are assholes, all of them. And after all the horrible things Hao did to countless people that had nothing to do with his problems he gets VERY EASILY forgiven after a 5 minute dr. Phil talk, essentially proving him right in thinking all humans are worthless. What was the moral of the story again? How did this manga derail so badly?
Like every pedophile, Takei hates humanity and he can't hide his ugly side to the world so his mangas devolve into child porn (see Ultimo)
Grayson Watson
I will get flamed for saying this but the anime had a better ending than the manga.
For whatever reason, the author decided to justify Hao's nonsense and the manga's story suffered because of this.
Elijah Bell
I mean I'm not entirely against the idea of Hao being forgiven. It's Hao being forgiven (despite being unrepentant of all the shit he did) while humanity gets branded as a collective bunch of assholes that shamans just choose to tolerate that pisses me off. It's grossly biased towards Hao. I get what they were trying to do but the execution was poorly done.

>Generic shonen end >Good guy kill bad guy with friendship power >Better I bet you love fairy tail.
Aaron Martin
Originality =/= good
Brandon Phillips
Yeah instead we get Hao Wins:The Manga
Levi Ortiz
Despite the ending I'd still like to see it readapted. Too bad that won't happen until Takei dies or even later.
Jack Hernandez
That's not what he said, faggot What is bad about this?
Kevin Sanchez
LOOK AROUND YOU LOOK BEYOND
Tyler Morgan
YOU COULD MAKE AN UNBREAKABLE BOND
Nolan Long
the whole finale was weak for me. just all the characters going one at a time doing some nonsense attacks that don't affect anything. feels like after he went to a different magazine he just rushed everything i dunno
Jeremiah Rodriguez
>What is bad about this? Everything if you aren't a Hao fanboy
Logan Clark
Why did they even bother to do shit after Hao got the great spirit anyways? Everything after that feels like a waste of time
Anthony Diaz
>Why did they even bother to do shit after Hao got the great spirit anyways? Because they prefer living so they tried convincing Hao not to kill everyone for good?
Landon Ortiz
Life and death are meaningless by end of manga anyways. people are constantly brought back from the dead, Hao himself has been killed multiple times(which is why he's so powerful in the first place) and there is a big emphasis put on the fact that souls are just endlessly recycled.
"oh no, Hao murdered people!" is a pointless sentiment in a world were death is simply just another piece of the cycle of existence. Again, Hao himself has been killed multiple times, so of course he's not gonna see dying or killing as a big deal, as he knows better than anyone that it's just another step in the usual system.
Jeremiah Brooks
No I mean about the attacks and stuff. Trying to overpower him after he got the great spirit was dumb
Angel Campbell
They were just making time so they can convince him, what do you expected? Sit down and talk to him calmy while he destroys them?
Elijah Price
Good. I like it the most when antagonist actually wins.
To be fair, it works in almost every other shounen.
Henry Rodriguez
Uh. Yeah no that's kind of wrong. Hao was cheating death, not being involved in a cycle. And it was more the fact that Hao was kind of a scumbag with a chip on his shoulder. The manga really was poorly executed. And it ended on a rather down note.
He only cheated it via retaining his memories and abilities upon reincarnation.
All souls are reincarnated, they just are usually wiped clean first.
Jose Robinson
Oh man one of my first mangas. I think I finished the anime but never the manga tho. Really liked the op
Cameron Gray
Didn't Flowers changing Hao winning to "Hao won, but he can't do shit because the old Shaman Kings hate him"?
Gabriel Gonzalez
He can still do shit, but he'll get kicked out if his team doesn't win.
Carter Reed
Based.
Wyatt Kelly
I don’t see how this is any better. He’s cheating the system for his own benefit and fucking literally everyone else over, even the people who dedicated their lives to him. I feel not empathy or sympathy for him.
Flowers was awful but I liked how Hao reached the top and realized that he couldn't do as he wished. Takei wanted to make it seem like humanity was evil and responsible for everything wrong in the world, but Hao wound up being even more of a monster than the humanity he despised.
Evan Cooper
People still suffer because of death, and it clearly has an effect on them. Also, the whole thing about characters dying and being revived per plot convenience only applies to main cast. Everyone who wasn't relevant stayed dead.
John Russell
Sorry, Anna is smart enough to dodge that bullet.
Julian Clark
> hao > Chad > buttfucked by a monk
Jackson Sanchez
If any of this was true then Hao could easily have found his mother's soul since the beginning and have no reason to murder people. It obviously works if the plot demands it.
