I'VE NOT SEEN A THREAD SINCE SEASON TWO

ENDURE THE PAIN IT'S EASY NOW

S3 when?

Probably next Spring/Summer, it's being worked on right now.

What do you guys want from S3? I'm hoping Guitar Hero gets a moment just as good as the rock concert last season.

Attached: 1544481749932.jpg (400x400, 20K)

He still feels nowhere near like a third mc. It's hard to stack up against the other two but still.

I want to leave an impact on Shou's face

A puppet show was the best anime of the season, how does Urobuchi do it??

More of that sexy sword with its pornographic voice and lewd glow.

The cute girl to stay alive for once.

I miss him bros.

>the club of jobbers

Everything I wanted is coming back in full force with the necromancer coming back.
It's a shame best sword is out of the picture now, but who knows. Maybe Urobutcher, the madlad, will bring her back with the now one-armed monk.

Urobuchi seems content killing off every villain in the season they're involved in, besides necromancer. Besides her being a demon I don't think there's an excusable reason to bring back sword monk.

Kei-Guy is literally a gateway to bring all the dead guys from season one back with zombie shit.

Duck is the real jobber. Fox and 10guy both beat him.
Remember that Butcher said he wants a giant cast like the avengers. He clearly isn't intending on killing all his villains when they constitute 3/4 of the cast.

Didn't realize that Shou was a fan of Sartre.

Don't underestimate the puppets, man.

>12 more seasons with various jobbing villains and unlucky side characters
>finally the ultimate big bad guy shows up
>EVERY. SINGLE. CHARACTER. SO. FAR. comes back to fight it

So he's consistent? What's the point of that image.

Does anyone here read any wuxia stuff to even begin to tell where we're going next? Or is the demon attack the only thing one can actually expect?

Yea Forums sings when

There's no exactly a lot of text to it.
Everyone would just do the obligatory English setnences and hum along.

How can one Demon be so perfect Yea Forums?

The Duck must never be forgiven for what he did to her

More poems. S2 has great ones but I want more.

What did he do to her?

Don't mind me just posting best boy

THE SHADOW OF EAGLES ACROSS THE MOON

>Watching S1 while it's airing
>Get to like episode 7 and drop it
I have no clue why I did, I was loving it

>boy

Don't bother being yourself because yourself sucks. Try being like me instead.

He's not wrong.

im in the middle of watching S1, are there better subs than the bluray one? the poem in ep5 wasnt subbed which bothered me

Apparently he broke her heart and got the only human she considered a friend killed.

My brother with dark complexion.

Where is this from?

The movie

Is she some kind of courtesan or dancer? Those clothes are pretty lewd.

There was a fucking TF movie?

wtf I hate duck now

The Sword of Life and Death. Its basically just a segue between season 1 and 2 and gives more backstory to pic related

Cool shit, I just finished the series and thought I ran out of TF to watch.

IN WORDS CAN I SAAAY IT?

He's a filthy consequentialist and that's way too close to comunism. Hence, TBF is secret chinese propaganda.

>Doujins fucking never

Attached: 1548320204335.jpg (437x431, 28K)

Erotic Aoi Yuuki is my jam.

Imagine doujin artist making their own puppets just so that they can make them fuck.

Attached: Antique-Wooden-Chinese-puppets.jpg (300x400, 34K)

anyone going to sub the S2 blurays?
I need that progressive 60fps puppet action

so is urobochi out of table top games to just adapt from or nah?

He's got the second part to adapt, where monk comes back with a zombie army and a grapple arm.

>a fucking sword smuggler

Your face when fat Shofukan comes back next season with sword skills rivaling Duck's.

Attached: 1545164116189.webm (1280x720, 958K)

Fuck duck, he hurt everyone I love

best thing about this show: it has been green lit for endless seasons because Urobuchi can Urobuchi as logn as he wants without Kodakawa bullshit.

also, i love the characters.

Attached: 1543877333565.jpg (1200x849, 1.42M)

when was this?
i don't recall a Fox bully, was this with the drones?

Yes. It happened when Shofukan used the sword that controls people. Pretty good stuff.

I hope we get a movie in between every season.

Poems were awesome, my favorite was the very first one in season1 where tenguy descends from the sky.
Shofukan's at the end of season1 as he returns the umbrella to the monk statue was also kino.

>In TBF, the villains are the underdogs
I love this trope.

I liked this puppet's over the top reactions. He was such a drama queen.

Attached: 1544451812373.webm (720x404, 687K)

But Duck and Shou are clearly the strongest.

Are you implying that they are bad guys?

Strongest individuals yeah, but Autistic Monk+Swordwaifu combo was unmatched.

Duck is absolutely the most villainous character in the whole show.

his/story has plenty of lyrics
youtu.be/ArNk2a5EWQE

Attached: fully geared bard joins the party.webm (640x420, 2.89M)

On what planet is Duck NOT the bad guy? Shou will cross this bridge one day whether he likes it or not.

They are wanted criminals known to have stolen a large number of powerful swords and with them wreaked havoc along the countryside. What can you call such blatant disregard for the justice of the land but villainy?

i want to fuck that demon

Attached: 70934049_p16_.jpg (1055x1476, 499K)

Is Duck's pipe a sword...or is the sword a pipe?

yes

this.

however, we have also never seen him win.
his 'win' in the movie left him with so much baggage it wasn't funny

he's also the character whos'e costume design i like the least. every other character had a better costume.

though, this scene was great.

The Crimson Duck

Attached: D0qA0l_VAAE1yZL.jpg (800x524, 141K)

How do you guys tolerate this? I've been told numerous times that it's good, and I've tried to watch this multiple times, but the style is so hard to get into.

I love Duck when he's winning.

I love him even more when he's seething. There is no losing (for us) when it comes to this man

barbie dolls killing each other is awesome.

i always assumed it was a meme show, but after the first fight scene with sho i was fucking hooked
its unironically one of the best shows ive ever seen

The style is the appeal. Remove the puppetry, and it'd be a forgettably "good" show. Because the cast are puppets, the writers are forced to emulate emulate emotions in more diverse and creative ways. That aside, people love TBF for the first season's structure. All succeeding episodes trump the previous and it really hits its stride around episode 6 when the party comes together. It's a solid script with two unique "protagonists", if Lin Setsua can be called that. Anything further would be spoiling.

The first season is an ironic parody of the "hero's journey" and you only realize this around episode 8, and in the final 2 episodes, everything gets flipped on its head. It's hard to say without spoiling.

The style is what makes it great. Like the other user said, if this were done as a normal anime the plot wouldn't be anything worth writing home about. The characters are decently well written, but it really comes to life with the brilliant choreography, hype soundtrack, and character motifs and how they portray emotion in mostly static-faced puppets. The novelty of it makes it feel fresh and the acting done well enough and the plot is simple and direct enough so that it doesn't feel like it overstays its welcome. The novelty never really wears off and after a while you start to actively see the characters as though they were real people even if they are puppets.

To add to this: All the VAs are top-tier. Literally, ALL of them, are A-listers who propel the delivery to better heights. Butcher knows what he's doing.

The character tics the puppeteers manage to incorporate into the show are pretty based.

Get in line.

Not an anime.
Also, best anime I've seen since I first saw Vampire Hunter D on the Sci-Fi Channel and hand my little mind blown a hundred years ago.

I swear to God, I will burn this place down if there's no season 3.

i think it's already in production my da ge.

i creamed my pants when di kong played with his rosary in season 2.

like the puppeteer probably had to do that blind because the dolls are pretty big and he can't easily look around him to the front while being filmed.

What's the moment that absolutely sold you on this series?

For me, it's the MC and the assassin sitting down at the table the whole fucking episode and playing out the fight in their heads back and forth the entire time. That was fucking amazing.

I do that shit with shows all the time. Ill go out for a night and be literally a day behind the show airing and suddenly it's too much to catch up on and i drop it because i have a tiny lizard brain.

the purest form of smut.

>For me, it's the MC and the assassin sitting down at the table the whole fucking episode and playing out the fight in their heads back and forth the entire time. That was fucking amazing.
Not him, but fucking hell, this was me. I was iffy on the show before, but Setsu Mushou's conversation with Shou was pure kino. The reveal that he'd been trying to kill Shou the whole time and stayed true to his reputation as an irrational killer was orgasmic.

In a show that openly mocks edgelords and sword fanatics, how the hell did Screaming Phoenix Killer end up one of the best characters when he embodied and extrapolated both concepts to their upper limit?

Probably the umbrella fight in Episode 1.

Chinamen makes the best erotic dresses.

Anyone else find watching behind the scenes as entertaining as the show itself?

Pili/Aardman collab when?

Sincerity.

This.

This TBF1 was filled with disloyal cunts. SPK was everything he said he was from the start, and never pretended otherwise. He was so straightforward, that he intentionally challenged 10Guy he KNEW he would lose, simply because that was the creed he followed.

Did Ahiru start hitting the bong too much?

consider yourself filtered, pleb

Attached: vape duck yes.gif (300x169, 900K)

...I'll keep in mind.

I hope she gets the same sort of backstory treatment Screaming Phoenix got.

Attached: w.jpg (786x1017, 140K)

The book SPK's part of the movie was adapted from also had a part about Kguy, so it's possible if they make another movie.

I hope it is juicy and tender with a fiery kick.

Anyone who casts Suwabe and Toriumi together knows what they are doing

It helps if you set one day of the week you know you're free to just open a playlist of everything in a folder for that week, don't choose what comes on just watch and get it done. If you can fullscreen it on a TV so you're not distracted and only pause when you leave the room for something then it really whittles down backlog.

Sometimes I wonder if they hold hands so tight they can't be separated during auditions.

Can immortal demons even be cakes?

You haven't seen what they do with the commercial replicas?

The first fight scene in E1 got my attention, and I ran with it because it seemed unique. I didn't realize how good the series was though until the last stretch where damn near everything the series had been setting up for until that point paid off.

Everything up until that point was good, but the first season's ending was just so well done.

>umbrella fight in episode 1
Oh yes.
>discussion between Sho and Setsu Mu Sho
Oh yes!
>the whole team splits up in the mountain and Rin betrays Sho
OH YES!
>the edgeless sword reveal
HELL FUCKING YES!
>Rin vs. Betsu Ten Gai
OH MY GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOD!

>The first season is an ironic parody of the "hero's journey"
Fuck I never realized this but it's quite accurate.

It's funny that since Shofukan entered the picture his plans have been flopping.

This actually looks pretty good. Where can I watch it?

Just hit the nya

O MY PROSTHETIC DEMON SWORD GF

I think it's about time to go full till with SORDS. There's just so many to play with and the new ones only fuel the desire to see them in use.
I also really want just a little bit more Frozen Wonder.

Prepared to see her and duck have some sexy puppet moment in S3

Best christmas present.

She already did it just wasn't animated

>Kei Gai and are BFFs. One is a sorceress who drains life force out of her victims and the other than takes the empty husk and does necromancy on it
>Enter the Duck
>K-Guy unironically falls in love with him because even demons are not fucking immune to his charms
