Why new fags insist on sucking zero's dick so much?

Zero is fucking garbage

We had this bait thread 2 days ago. Fuck off before you make it more stale than it already is.

rly like the bit where two lads walk around kirei in a perfect concentric circle at antipodal points whilst delivering exposition, dont let everyone else knock this genius level direction

Because it has genuinely interesting characters interspersed between the chu2 bs.
Stay Night is almost entirely chu2 bait while the other spin-offs are literally 100% shit.

Because it's the only thing that's actually accessible to them. Otherwise they'd have to read or something

You talked like a new fag, almost every fate spin-off yes even apocrypha got its moments

this logo triggers me as a graphic designer

It's my passion too, i understand.

That's not Gudako.

>no VA
Stop posting female master

>interesting characters
Which ones. all of them were flat and shit and not even nice people aside from Waver + Rider and Irisviel as support.

If you consider the characters in Zero flat then how can you POSSIBLY enjoy any of the other Fate works?

>why do VNfags love self insert character
hmmmmmm.....

anime only poster pls

Stockholm poster pls
It's ok to admit you've wasted your time, you don't need to defend something just because spent 100 hours on it.

Shirou has more depth than any character in Zero plus he and most others are at least either traditionally good people or fun chuuni characters. In Zero almost everyone's an asshole that is based around one ideal and that's their character. I don't know how that is fun/interesting.

No, it's just the best thing to ever come out of the Fate franchise

Iskandar should have been Napoleon desu desu

Absolutely based
fuck nostalgiacucks

I don't need to defend time well spent. Try harder zoomer.

>*sip* now FSN THAT was a good eroge *sip*
cringe, die already grandpa

Hey man i've got nothing against dumb chuuni fun, Zero had plenty of that too and i had a good time with it.
I guess our difference of perspective mainly comes from the fact that i don't need characters to be good people to enjoy them.
Gilgamesh was an amazing jester, i loved Kariya as a tragic critique of whiteknightism, Rider had an interesting perspective he brought to the show and every scene he was in was tons of fun and so on.
Not every character was a hit in Zero, but at least some of them had more going on than *just* their edgy chuuni-isms.

Not gonna shit on Shiro too much, i'll give you that he has some interesting things going on and is pretty cool, but for most of SN he's also kind of a dull Gary Stu.

Pretty sure that the only good THINGS that ever came out of the Fate franchise are Prisma Illya and Emya's wholesome cooking show.

See that is fine, I don't even find Zero is shit I just enjoy it less and I wish people would understand why someone would feel that way. I like some things about it too like Gil and Kirei's interactions and Waver's development through Rider. Some others are cool in concept like Kariya and Kiritsugu but they don't develop really or have interesting dialogue and for the length it just has too few good things going on, with a structure that sadly wastes a lot of time on characters that suck.
Meanwhile, I can read stay night/watch UBW and HF as a traditional story of a hero fighting for a good cause. Everyone plays into this and I'd argue that there are just as many characters with good motivations as there are in Zero.
Stories about anti-heroes and bad people can be great, I just don't find Zero is particularly good at it so I prefer a well executed if cliched one more.

The VN is actually good though. Carnival Phantasm was too. The only things that are actually bad are the first anime and everything that Nero touches

Go back to Yea Forums you cockroach

>ufotable, Shaft, CloverWork, I.G. Production, Lay-duce, J.C. Staff, A-1
Why can't Nasu just stick with one studio plz ?

Ah that explains why Zero is the only good one.

Based Urobuchi

The only thing Zero did was make your average Fate fan more insufferable than ever. Type/Moon going mainstream is the worst timeline.

It's actually a masterpiece though

Fate/Strange was great. Too bad it'll never be finished.

Because it was the only good fate anime. Clinging to shittiest crap out there while hating on good thing doesn't make you look smarter, just retarded.

FSF new vol will be released on April 10th user

>VNcels absolutely seething at the truth
Always funny to see.

She's voiced by Tomoko Kaneda though.

Attached: Cozy.jpg (776x1199, 143K)

Tomoko Kaneda is both Guda's seiyuu for Riyo anime only though

Riyo Gudako is the most canon Gudako, so of course the VA of Riyo Gudako is the VA of regular Gudako.

Aw come on, there's a lot of great hentai from this franchise!

Can't deny that, Saber Alter is the hottest.

Napoleon, you say?

Attached: dyel.png (512x724, 337K)

Most of the character's depth in Zero is them just being miserable the entire time. The only truly engaging character relationships were Waver and Rider, and Kiritsugu and Kirei marginally. The rest were either edgy or bland and flat.

Shirou, Saber, and Sakura from the VN could run circles around the entire Zero cast in terms of complexity. But normie trash like you wouldn't see that. Only secondaries would think Zero has deeper characters. None of the anime adaptations come close to the complexity of the VN

Attached: Saber's Hometown.png (800x599, 161K)

Posting a screenshot of meaningless highschool prose is not helping your case.

Spoken like a true Zerofag. The only interesting characters to watch are Gil, Kirei, Iskander, and Waver. Everyone else is just fodder for Urobuchi's suffering material or just to be pure ham like Gilles and his master whose name I've already forgot.

Carnival phantasm, Prisma Illiya and Fate/Cooking are pretty good too, I don't like the F/SN and UBW adapaptations but the VN may be good.

Man, you seriously need to try harder at shitposting.

Don't forget that Urobuchi also made a better VN than FS/N, shame to Type Moon.

Is it better than Mahoyo ?

>he's also kind of a dull Gary Stu
Shirou aside, you don't even know the proper meaning/use of that term do you?

Neither madoka or zero are gen's original concepts. His greatest works merely piggyback off the ideas of others. He's good but terribly overrated.

Attached: 3f746886f50c8c3fbe9c293aff64d1eee0faff86_hq.jpg (835x650, 108K)

Yes, but it's he's edgiest work to date.

He doesn't only make edgy things, he wrote Gargantia after all.

youtu.be/efJ3fmm98ww
Referencing this sentiment?

this begs the question, how can anyone enjoy any fate related media, seeing it's all shit?

Ei Aoki is a amazing director but he mostly work disapointing shows like A/Z and Re:Creators

If you don't see how it applies to Shirou then i'm not quite sure you yourself know what that word means.
For most of FSN he's a bland, overprivileged self insert with plot armor thicker than Iskandar's biceps and a literal harem.

Attached: peopledie.jpg (800x450, 38K)

Incredibly hit or miss. The director ruining parts of the episodes on purpose because of his seething hatred for Tsukihime and Sakura makes it a terrible adaptation, too.

>Plot armor
secondary retard

Based OP

That's not Prisma Illya.

Starting up a /tg/ game for some friends over Discord and I was wondering what you guys think of my servant choices.

>Saber: Bedivere
>Lancer: Romulus
>Archer: Arash
>Caster: Moses
>Rider: Ozymandias
>Assassin: Gavrilo Princip
>Berserker: Fafnir

The definition of a Gary Stu/Mary Sue is the concept of an Idealized and Perfect character, something that Shirou is most definitely not considering the amount of times he can screw up along with other characters calling him out on his bullshit whenever given the chance.

Also, have you even played the VN? Or rather if you did, did you bother to pay attention to it and the story it presented along with the various monologues and other shit? Cause if you did then you'd know that most of what you just said is full of bullshit.

>bland
How? Shirou by default has the most characterization in FSN since all three routes focus on his growth as a person. Fate is about him reaffirming his ideals through his love with Saber, UBW is about him reaffirming it even knowing the hell that awaits him, and HF is about him giving his ideals for Sakura's sake. That is far more than could be said about characters from Zero who were basically one trope at a time barring Gilgamesh, Kirei, and Waver.

>plot armor thick
I guess you an anime only? Cause Shirou can suffer over 40 bad ends and most of those involve him dying or suffering in increasingly violent ways with each one. When not going through those moments then his plot armor is also justified considering that he has Avalon with him meaning that there's a reason for his endurance and abilities.

>harem
True, but also exaggerated. Other stories will play it up but in FSN the only girl really after his dick is Sakura. Rin has a passing interest in Shirou but it only will become love in UBW. Same with Saber as Shirou is the one doing the pursuing in Fate rather than her.

How can someone who dies multiple times through the route be considered to have plot armour?
>Self-insert
I think that his internal monologues and established angsts are unique enough from what most people go through that he can be seen as his own character.

>The argument Zerohaters have against Zero is that it is the least fappable
Reminder to discard these opinions as they are read

>jester
Oh, so you're a fag who bases his opinions on shitty youtube "analysis"

Excuse me what? The only anime "analysis" dude i watch on youtube is digibro lol

Looks like Romulus or Ozy would be the obvious winner, with maybe Moses as an underdog

>implying Gavrilo Princip, the man singlehandedly responsible for the largest amount of deaths in world history and the foreseeable future barring the complete destruction of the human race, wouldn't fuck them all with his EX luck and the souls of every soldier who died in WW1.

>Assassin
He's not a Hassan.

But WW2 killed over twice as many people
The Taiping Rebellion killed almost as many people as WW1

F/SN was a decent visual novel and how dare you overlook .

Didn't he only write a few of the episodes and help out with the scenario?

>digibro
user, I don't think you're helping your case.

I don't need to make a case, i'm already correct and everybody whose opinion is worth respecting already agrees.

Mordred makes my dick hard

Attached: 1545249667121.jpg (1920x1080, 341K)

I was thinking the political game would help out the weaker servants a bit. Seeing how Ozy fucking hates Moses it wouldn't be farfetched to see Romulus joining forces with Moses to take him out.
The real wild card is Fafnir. Moses may be the jewish prophet but Fafnir is greed incarnate. He probably gets something sick as fuck when fighting servants that had lots of material wealth, and that's not even mentioning dragon mode.

Hold the fucking phone user, you gotta tell me just how the fuck you're running a Grail War in a tabletop setting. How many players and are they all Masters?

Also your Assassin is an absolute joke character that would get bodied by any of the others instantly. Use a Hassan, create one if you need to.

All Princip has is EX rank luck, he'd get further than you'd think by sheer hijinx and fuckery but he's not a serious contender with an actual shot of winning. He's the kind of Servant that could never claim victory.

???

A+ Luck made Astolfo win a grail war, luck is the most important stat by far

Astolfo only won because his Master was 2 (TWO) Servants.

A+ Luck indeed. Astolfo is truly unstoppable.

Attached: 1532274962384.png (726x4757, 2.44M)

>it takes a grand caster to win a HGW

Tsukihime skits kept repeating the same joke over and over, and randomly removed characters from chapters. The Sakura episode was pretty much entirely rewritten for the sole purpose of portraying her negatively.

I know what you meant it's like totally mature and for adults. None of that kiddie stuff in FSN. I just want to see badass edgy adults with one dimensional convictions instead of following teens that grow in depth. I mean Saber is an independent wahmen and wears a cool suit and even thought her entire character is basically shat on it doesn't matter.

To be fair Marisbury probably pulled his weight as a Master, and he was based enough to not try to pull off Heaven's Feel. Also Tamamo technically has a win because of Extra. You should be more concerned about the fact that no Assassin nor Berserker has ever won.

Lmao at anyone who considers Zero an "adult" show, that's not at all the appeal of it.

IIRC Marisbury summoned Solomon in his normal saint graph though ? Also they literally killed all master/servant pairings and burned Kirei away without a trace

I though there was a point where Assassins kept winning HGW because the Hassans were too good at their jobs? Also no shit Berserker masters can't win when most of them have madness enhancement

That's just in imitation HGWs in the Apocrypha timeline, none of them were True Holy Grail Wars.

Because they fucking casuals who just want something simple and edgy. Most of them can't take the time to finish the VN and truly appreciate Fate.

It's a very roleplay heavy homebrew system, borderline freeform if I'm being honest. It utilizes a scaling dice system + the corresponding stat for contests and skill checks. The DC to pass a check is 10 and the type of dice you roll corresponds to the tasks difficulty. Easy you roll a d12, normal is a d10, hard is a d8, very hard is a d6, and impossible is a d4.

All the players are masters, 5 in total, while I play as their servants for roleplaying purposes. Though they choose how their servant reacts in combat I retain the say in whether they obey or not when given orders.
The sessions are done one on one in private conversations with each master. When they encounter another player I'll open up a new server for them to interact. However none of the players know they're actually fighting 4 other people. They'll think I'm controlling everything until they actually meet for the first time.

Fafnir and Princip are my OC NPC servants. Fafnir is set up to be the "big bad" equivalent when the war reaches a head. Princip is there to spice things up and throw a wrench in PC plans with his bullshit luck and two very strong noble phantasms(though his other stats are practically abysmal. ).

Attached: best girl.jpg (442x412, 141K)

"It's deep and like... smart, dude."
-every Fatefag trying to describe why FSN is supposedly good

>"It's deep and like... smart, dude."
You sure you don't mean Zerofags

>"it explores the idea of heroism and what problems come when ideals are tested with the harshness of reality."
there happy. now go back to kiri and go watch him blow up a building and be angsty

>Medusa wins by doing nothing

My fucking eyes

Archer should be the real victor of UBW

That's a pretty clever way of using the benefits of online chat to run a grail war, user. Could I get the skinny on Fafnir? I've come up with my own Berserker version of him, but it's probably very different from your take. Oh, and just how does Princip's NP work? And your players are all Mages with their own style of Magecraft, right? What kind of characters did they make? Oh, and where is your HGW set?

I envy whoever gets Bedivere, he's pretty goddamn good.

Attached: Bedivere.png (512x724, 269K)

My Fafnir is in his dwarf form for the most part. Consumed by greed and his lust for revenge, Fafnir's grail wish is to have Loki brought to his knees before him so he can have the pleasure of crushing his skull as payment for cursing him aeons ago. If he's used his NP then his wish is to make the entire world his hoard.

B Strength
B Endurance
D Agility
C Mana
D Luck
A++ Noble Phantasm

For skills he's got-
Madness Enhancement C
Touch of Greed EX- Gains a rank and a half up in Strength and Agility against those with easily perceived wealth
God Slayer C
Magic Resistance D

His Noble Phantasms are Tarnished Symbol of Pride - Guardian Sledge, a hammer created by dwarf king Hreidmar that was passed on to Fafnir as a sign of his royal lineage. It glows in the presence of riches and is able to carve through stone and earth as if it was air.

His second noble phantasm is Immeasurable Greed - Terror of the Emerald Dragon. Fafnir leaves any sense of reason or tactics behind and transforms into his true form, a massive emerald dragon. In this form Fafnir no longer needs his master to provide him mana and is able to generate it by consuming things of material wealth. This also means he no longer has any regard for his master’s safety and will not hesitate to kill him should he get in the crossfire.. His parameters in Strength, Endurance, and Mana become EX, Magic Resistance also goes up to A+ and he gains Breath of the Dragon A as a thick poisonous green fog that quickly surrounds him, withering and killing all that pass through it. This transformation is permanent and can only be undone with two consecutive command seals. Fafnir has a weak spot on his shoulder where he was stabbed by Siegfried and it is the only place he can be hurt in this form.

The HGW is set in the year 2022 in Barkerville and its surrounding areas, a historic gold rush town in Canada, central B.C classified as a world-class heritage site. The whole place is built as a complete recreation of the original 1800's town and everyone who works in the town dresses and acts the part (Other than the debit machines in the storefronts of course). The whole area around it is dense forest and a lake or two, with Barkerville being the only sense of civilization for miles.

I'm going for a mixture of a rustic and claustrophobic feeling. Since the town is so small getting privacy in town is going to be hard, though its enough of a tourist attraction that someone from a foreign land wouldn't be too out of place.

If the town is small the Servants won't have enough room to stay away from each other. Won't that mean endless battles?

Attached: moblush.jpg (850x749, 86K)

Zero, HF and CP are all great.

As for the player characters they're still in the process of making them.
Bedivere's master is a native american able to summon totemic spirits to fight for her though wooden carvings.
Moses' master is a local and one of the town actors. He can manipulate ice and snow. Standard cryomancer fare.
Arash's master is a German military sergeant. specializes in Words of Power, simple phrases such as Stop and Move to impose his will upon the world.
The other two haven't sent me their sheets yet.

Not at all. The housing in the town is rather slim since the permanent residents take up most of the living quarters. Campsites and landmarks cover the surrounding landscape so those are where most of the players will be staying. Even then the town is so small that it is hard to pick out just who even is a master and who's a civilian. Fighting in the town proper is sure to catch innocents in the crossfire and bring the church down hard on your ass.

>Fafnir please, we've been panning for gold since we got here. Don't you think we should be trying to hunt down the other masters? Or at least figure out who they are?
>Don't give me lip boy. Me hammer's aglow and that only means one thing. There's gold in them hills and It'll be a good day for Hel before I let these filth touch another flake!
