Up to Regimen Cuisine I was giving Tsukuda the benefit of doubt, I thought he knew what story he wanted to tell and was simply struggling to execute it well

Now in this current arc I believe he has no clue what he's doing. The story in this arc is incoherent and all over the place, characters have regressed, it's not even about COOKING anymore as much as gimmicks

The Central arc leads into the RdC, which is basically this massive tournament arc where the "Rebels" (Soma, Erina, & co.) have to take down the Elite 10. Sounds interesting, but in reality it was just this huge slog to get through. There were no breaks in between the battles, and after a while Tsukuda just pretty much rushed through right to the end.

By the way, the RdC pretty much puts all the side characters out of commission except for Megumi and Takumi. Most of them were locked in a literal cage during the tournament (I know it's fucking stupid, trust me I know) and none of them have made an appearance ever since.

In the end, all the Rebels take up seats in the Elite 10. Don't worry, we never actually get to see what that looks like. Soma gets placed into the first seat even though he didn't even win it himself, and Erina pauses becomes HEADMASTER of Totsuki. Oh yeah, let's make a teenage girl headmaster of a school she's still studying at; that makes all the sense.

Jouichiro's long lost son Asahi shows up out of nowhere and jobs Jou 5-0. Then all these "dark chefs" show up, apparently they're from the criminal "cooking underworld". They're really just a fucking joke tho. Anyway, Erina gets kidnapped and released by Asahi, who wants to marry her or something, and instead of calling the cops or telling anyone what happened, she agrees to his challenge in BLUE. BLUE starts, some bullshit happens where Soma predictably wins all the battles against these no-name dark chefs, and then suddenly cooking skills are all called "superpowers" now. Asahi apparently has the ability to absorb these superpowers by touching other people's knives. Yes, I'm not joking. Oh, and most recently, the person in charge of BLUE, the one who is apparently sanctioning and pushing for these dark chef clowns to win, is Erina's mother.

We all know Sorina is happening, but let's not pretend that it was done in a satisfying way. Even before this arc started, the development Sorina had was bare bones and the only "romantic" scene they shared was the train ride. Sure we got Souma realizing her beauty, but it felt forced since EL HERMANO showed up at this point. This arc could end with Souma realizing he loves her and Sorina will defend it and say "Of course he does!!" despite it make no sense since he's been foodsexual literally the entire manga. Shonen shippers will always eat up their crumbs and try to argue that author put a lot of care in their endgame when the manga proves different, like for example Naruto.

Now Erina is angry with her mother because she tried to throw out her from the tournament, even if souma says it is something more than anger, but since until now they havent said anything about the situation between Erina and mother Mana everything is possible, such quality writing.So In the span of a single chapter, Erina became the "ice witch", a worse version of what was before the introduction of Azami from Megumi's speech. Also in the last chapter Erina had a shokugeki against Takumi and without showing the dishes she won within 3 pages. Takumi tries her dish and says that she is the 0th seat, similar to the BS that happened in bleach with Yammy.Erina tries the dish that she makes and throws it in the trash saying that "its not worthy of the god tongue" (azami mentality) and goes away without saying a word to her supposed friend who she is avoiding from the start of the competition.
Moreover it seems that she has never been serious before and now she seems to be much stronger than Eishi , even if we hadnt any development about her cooking skill. I dont know where she did found the time to train as she had her headmaster responsibility too,but the 2 timeskip that we had in the span of 18 chapters did the trick.
Also Eishi the former 1th seat was invited to Blue but lost to asahi after not even 7 pages without even showing his dish. Asashi uses his extraterrestrial power and absorbs Eishi's "superpower".

How much truth .......also it seems that shippers are only interested in Erina being present in the chapter, it does not matter if the rest is shit.

Lol, this show is literally tournament arcs. But unlike with other manga, this shit is boring as fuck. There's no real nuance to the competitions because most people don't know what the fuck he's on about with the cooking terms. They don't know how impressive one thing is vs something else. (I honestly wonder if a professional chef would like this manga or would it be the cooking equivalent of engrish) That's why he has to rely on the reaction shots. When he tries to make the actual cooking more impressive, the manga starts to step outside of the bounds it set up for itself in the beginning (and not in a good way, e.g. cooking with a chainsaw). You know when a fight is good because you can see it and it's visceral or intellectually stimulating. But there's not much tension with the cooking. Add to that, most of the characters are bland, and there's not much tension or comedy in the story in general. It was fun at the start because of the non-beta mc and the (relative) novelty of the concept, but even without the asspulls, this shit was getting stale and Tsukuda probably knew it. He should have gone in a different direction with his switch-up but he had to do something. In fact, I'd go as far as to say that Tosh's art was a more significant part of why the manga blew up in the first place than some people may care to admit. His art is wasted on the manga and he should honestly quit. I wonder if artists who don't write the story ever think "What the fuck is this shit, I'm sleeping 3 hours a night to draw this?"

After evil daddy came El Hermano, he was introduced by defeating Souma’s dad, his own adopting father in a sokugeki by 3-0.
It was revealed that El Hermanois the leader of the ‘noir’ chefs, the top chefs that serve the ‘underworld’ of this world. He trashed Souma and reveals he loves Erina and wants to make her his princess, he challenges Souma at Blue. El hermano has his own top crew of noir chefs with a clown and a nazi girl and an evil butler and shit.
Blue comes and it is revealed cheffs now have secret abilities and El Hermano’s one is that he steals the ability of anyone he beats. He beats Eishi with his chainsaw power.

Didnt prince of tennis and ring no kakero start out as standard sports/boxing manga that went off the rails? Maybe if souma goes so over the top it might be good again.

At the very least PoT, didn't cast away its side characters. Even in Nu-PoT, side characters like Fuji, Atobe, Shiraishi still got to shine and it's not like in Shokugeki whereby Ryoma came in to save the day every single time.

El Hermano is the hero of the story. You see, he's from a battle shounen where shit's pretty grim.

However he got tired of having to kill people to get their skills, so he found a loophole in transferring into Cooking Mangas. Now he can get his epic knife skills just by beating fuccbois in relatively low stake cooking duels.

Tosh is only doing the art and is probably under contract so the poor guy doesn't really have a choice in the matter. Blame Tsukuda fro this retarded NTR bait clusterfuck of an arc.

I can only imagine how fucked the next arc is going to be.
