Kyoani will never fails to get me angry. They're so far ahead of everyone else in terms of production it's laughable. But all of it is wasted on these absolute trash stories. Why does the studio with the best schedules and animation talent in the industry also have the worst script writers? Why do they feel the need to only adapt LNs of the most hackiest of hack writers that even garbage publishers wouldn't touch?

Kyoukai no Kanata? Phantom World? Chuunibyou? That's the kind of trash I would expect from the likes of Silver Link, not the the role model of the entire industry.

I was genuinely excited for Violet Evergarden. A show with a little bit more action in a beautiful fantasy setting. And then it ended up being the same retarded/autistic melodrama we've seen time and time again.
Violet herself is awe-inspiringly beautiful though.

Personally I loved Chunibyou and thought that Kyoukai was okay, last arc of Phantom world wasn't too bad either. But you need to understand that Kyoani can't do much other than this because of the way the greater industry currently operates. The profit margin for publishing companies is much greater than anime studios. Publishing companies currently have a monopoly and demand too much work for too little pay. It was a choice between remaining slaves, adapting the most popular works with garbage production values or being free to pursue their artform. I respect and admire Kyoani for their choice. This industry needs to change, Kyoani are first step in the right direction but they need your help. If you ever want to see them adapt something that appeals to you then you need to spread awareness of what i'm saying. Not enough people know these things. If their works do well, if KA Bunko is successful, it will be a new era in the anime industry. If KA does well, they'll have more money to expand(which they are always trying to do), they'll have more money to pay for better facilities for their animators, they'll even be able to buy better source material from other publishers like Koe no Katachi. The more shows they produce they higher the likelihood that they'll do something you'll like. Help out the studio saving anime! You can do so by buying a copy of the VE LN here:

I totally understand why Kyoani operates the way they do. And I honestly agree that its way better and healtier for the studio. But I refuse to believe that this is the best that you can get narrative wise. It's also not like the source material of their shows was already super popular. It's apparent that they don't need to adapt popular LNs/Manga to make sucessful shows. There have to be some writers out there they can get on board to write them a decent script for an original production.

I'm not going to buy a product I don't want in the hopes that the people selling that product may make something that I do enjoy in the future.

Until they adapt idolshit, isekai, or shounen, the source material they adapt will always be higher than the average.

Fair enough but if you can, like I said, help spread awareness of what I said. I'm tired of anime getting crappy productions and never being completed, I see so much potential wasted with seasonal anime. I'm simply educating people on the industry's current predicament and presenting people with a way they can help. If enough people were as knowledgeable on this subject as I am I believe real positive change could be made. And also, I cant do this forever, I can't spend hours typing up paragraphs like this for people all the time. I cant believe i'm doing this when I feel unwell today too. I do this because i truly care about the anime industry.
