Dropped the anime at ep1 but started up the manga, it's pretty good. Melie is top-tier design, but she can't compare to best girl Hamelin.

Maybe it's just me, but I find the arcs to be messy - they're extremely long (70chapters in and we're still only on the 2nd arc), too complicated with too many characters and too many moving parts. Complexity is good, but these arcs could really do with some simplification.

What I like about this series is that the main character has to deal with the consequences of his decissions and has to face reality.
He is as loud and moralfag as any other battle shonen protagonist, but at least him doesn't get always the best possible result just because he is "right", Things don't go always well just because he does the right things And that makes him actually grow.

IT may look like an small different, but I think is a pretty big one. There is nothing that I hate more than a protagonist that always takes the worst path possible but always get the best result possible just because he is the good guy.
