I don't think it had many expectations outside of the conspiracy theories and silliness of the earlier threads so it was a pleasant surprise when an unassuming show turned out to be legitimately enjoyable. The most common complaint outside of the shitposting it unfortunately attracted was that it was melodramatic and felt forced. Personally, I thought they did a great job with the different character's motivations and stories. Their personalities made it a lot of fun to watch.

Yorimoi reminded me a lot of Space Bros. Both shows were about reaching a seemingly impossible goal step by step. I generally liked the positivity of both shows, with no real "villains" but most people who seemed antagonistic having their reasons for acting that way and ultimately being supportive. A lot of shows have a very misanthropic world view, which in these shows was not the case at all, making them very pleasant experiences.
