I haven't uploaded any AzuDaioh tracks yet but I think I have the honk-nigger tone problem licked. *See below for the bullshit story that no one cares about.* Also bought a halfway decent USB mic yesterday and spent most of the day fucking around with setup on that. Going to do some serious recording tonight after the stream. I'll work on the Japanese vocals next weekend.
*I thought I was using the Selmer mouthpiece off my Selmer-Paris (that my parents sold when I went away to college "because I didn't need two"...fuckers) on my Yama23 (of course that is the one they didn't sell...fuckers) but I went over the sax in detail this morning to check out the pads, cork, mouthpiece, and whatnot because I couldn't get the tone under control and discovered it was actually the Yamaha 4c mouthpiece with a #4 Vandoren on it. I have no fucking clue what I was trying to do with that combination but I guaran-damn-tee you I don't have the breath control or embouchure for it these days. Going to try a #2 or #3 Rico and see if that smooths things out. The brassy tone from that shouldn't matter for Soramimi Cake since it's uptempo and all of the AzuDaioh uptempo tracks tend to have an exuberant "high school band" sound to them.

Well I'm glad you have a pro setup. I just have a Snowball ICE and max the volume settings. I don't know how to tinker stuff like that. I just assume it did some of the work for me.

It's just a Yeti USB, but you can tinker with settings and position the mic and do quite a bit with that. Instruments can be kind of a pain to get dialed in...either you're picking up too much or not enough. Vocals are a bit easier as long as you sing into the mic and don't get too autistic with it.
