I was going over the leaves, bubbling ones, normal ones and crumpled ones and one thing (that everyone else probably already noticed) kind of hit me.
Red bugs all have dead leaves. They look like leave skeletons, only the veins and mid veins are present, nothing else.

In the original OVA, bug that killed Rinako laser blasted 2 reservoirs of normal water and it looked like it turned into red mist (happened at 2:09).
We didn't saw any red bug - water interaction in TV series yet but Rinako felt she had to protect the water they found in ep.1 so the result might be similar.

Suddenly I want some ryoana on Rin, a Rinona.

It reinforces the fact that all nushi, red, white, or blue, are similar to the sisters in that they're all plant-based. The nushi and the sisters look drastically different, but they're intrinsically tied to the mysterious plants called kemurikusa. Nothing on the planet is really flesh or steel, everything (except Wakaba maybe) have fake bodies which house their real bodies which are their leaves.

Kemurikusa is small plants piloting biomecha to beat the shit out of each other.

You know? This actually reminds me that no, Tatsuki isn't wasting way more money in backgrounds for this series (Or og KF), but is just that he has a great understanding of what exactly makes a background stand out and leave an impact.
Lke, can you think of any BG shot in this show that looks expensive in relation to the animation? A lot of the time he just uses nevative space in a way that everthing stands out perfectly, like in that shot with the long road trough the Red fog, or the one with bright yellow Kemurikusa hanging over the crew's head.

Well, the only one credited with the storyboards both on Kemofure S1 and Kemurikusa is Tatsuki, so it seems they start with the storyboards and then proceed with the rest of the animation, but I would suppose that Isa, the animation director, may have some sort of input or at least he has the right to voice his concerns or opinions about how to shoot a specific scene.

What I find funny about Rina's design is that they lolified even further her design, on the original short she was a borderline loli or sort of a grown up loli, now she is clearly a loli and there is a good amount of fanservice-ish shoot with the Rinas, so the Kemurikusa fans that are lolicons have a field day and if you only like her for the cutesy then you have also a field day.

She looks badass enough and even though she has nearly all her body covered with clothes she still looks sexy, especially when there is shots focused on her lower half.

Yup, I have seen a good amount of people talk widelly about the composition of the scenes on Tatsuki works, basically recognizing his composition style as very good, for example, this article irodorich.com/archives/4557 says something like "Tatsuki is doing things that neither animators nor mangakas can do" and that is not the only I have seen saying so big words.

Also Tatsuki is not working alone with this series, he has at this side Isa, the animation director and Yuuko, the art director, his two partners at irodori since ten years ago, so the wonderful art of the backgrounds you see on Kemofure S1 and Kemurikusa is the art direction by Yuuko, so there is already people saying that they would like to buy an artbook with Yuuko art.

Yup, I know, her boobs may be not so big and prominent as the Ritsu's ones, but she has still got a very nice pair, but it seems the jacket obfuscates on some way that bountifulness, like they were being compressed, meanwhile the Ritsu's ones are set free on the kimono.

Still if one looks carefully it seems they paid good attention to focus on some details, for example, Ritsu's titts are clearly visible and they tend to not be covered by some obstacle or object, meanwhile with Rin you can get a good amount of shots of her extending her legs or jumping on the air and then getting a shot of her ass and with Rina you could get shots of her armpits. like one scene on the train or of her legs like when she jumped on Wakaba.

Sat-c is also a huge Kaban-chanfag. I bet his portfolio consisted entirely of images of Kaban.

Sat-C is helping with the background art, but the art director is Yuuko Shirouzu, same situation as on Kemofure S1 and that is because she is the one handling the art at irodori since its creation ten years ago, so the art style of the backgrounds on Tatsuki works is basically the art style of Yuuko.

I would laugh my ass off if Mudou Eichi is contracted to do some official work for Kemurikusa, it would not be strange to see him making the cover and one short manga for a possible future official anthology.

Yuuko knows that hips, butts and armpits are the most important. A woman after my own heart.

Okay you bastards I finally picked this anime up and have watched all eight episodes. I would say it's been good to really good so far. Especially that eighth episode where I actually teared up a bit. Which I believe is my first feel like that from your boy Tatsuki so well done to him. So what you have got if that there were a lot uninformed people that did not know nothing about Kemurikusa and Tatsuki works and were expecting a carbon copy of Kemofure S1, so when Wakaba was introduced then they exploded on a butthurt of cosmic scale, so those were weed out and now what is left is the people that feels just alright with the series and with the sources already presented here you can see that their number are on no way small and that they are receiving this series very well.

So I should give a big kudos to Tatsuki for weeding out the fans and the no fans with the first two episodes.
