First book series I enjoyed reading. My mum told my friends I record every episode which made me more of a loser. Seeing the advertisements where it was just one of the jewels for a few seconds made me so hyped. I couldn't believe they were adapting my favorite book series.

Start with "Ice Station", introduce Scarecrow, continue with "Area 7", and then cap off the arc with the third story "Scarecrow" with its emotional roller coaster, then side step to Jack West Jr's adventures in Seven Ancient Wonders, Six Sacred Stones and Five Greatest Warriors, before putting Scarecrow back in the spotlight with "Scarecrow and the Army of Thieves", AND THEN Crossover with Jack West in "Four Legendary Kingdoms".

Probably the slug with the maze. Mostly because it was impossible to fight in any vaguely conventional fashion, and its lair was reasonably OP. A lot of the other guardians were 'overcome', but they had to straight out run and hide from the slug, and even then it was a close call.

Other than that, the sand beasts and their Hive I guess. That shit was reasonably OP, and also was completely impossible to fight in any real manner, only circumvented.

Not really, Lief just caught him by surprise. He was about to stomp everybody to death after getting them into his lair without any weapons that could hurt him, but he had his mouth open for a moment which gave him a weak point. The one that got defeated because of the arrogance was Reah, the snake. Wouldn't stop talking about herself and listening to compliments, got her head cut off for it. Honestly the most dissapointing guardian beast in the whole series. The plain of Rats was a weird fucking book.

I read the books when I was a kid, and I remember enjoying them.
I found out a few years ago that they made an anime of it, which was kinda surprising.

It's one of my favorite actually. I know it's probably mediocre but I just love it a lot for some reason.

I'm tempted to reread them. I think I got into them late and read them freshman year, but I adored them, the twists near the end of the first series were amazing.

As far as 'youth literature' goes its actually very good. A lot of reasonably original monsters and ideas, and very JRPG for western writing.

percy jackson would be so much better as a tv series. People shit on those movies and they couldve been done better, but I think ht ebooks just would never work well as movies, it could use more time
