Ruske gate?
There was one with Merlin on the cover right?
Highly likely. The majority of russian isekai covers are lazy collages after all.
Even Soviet sci-fi had isekai.
Russian isekai literature has been plaguing publishing business for about 20 years so far. Andrey Belyanin and Alexander Bushkov have popularized the genre in 00s from 1996-1997 and it got crazy popular to the absurd.
Still, the genre is much older, Mark Twain and Edgar Burroughs say hi.

>There is abundance of food and modern luxuries in the another world
What russian isekai protagonist wants is either historical revisionism or as much action and adventures as possible. They are usually fit as fuck and have military background.
Lord From the Planet Earth is a typical example. Could've been a good sci-fi anime.
Can't speak Russian, what is this about?
>Average printing of russian isekai is 1000-2000 books per title; half of which will end in the discount stalls.
>Average printing of japanese isekai in Russia is 4000-5000 books per volume.
