He infiltrated the gang to kill the boss. He has a firm goal and conviction, there is nothing to develop while he's undercover moving towards his goal

>Does anyone else have the most common opinion and criticism always thrown at part 5?
No, only you do, you absolute literary genius.

He has about the same development as Bruno.

This is a fairly common held opinion

>part 5
>development
Well, at least it's justified, part 5 is only one week.

>what is personality and character
Don't ever write anything.

Giorno is a gigantic heap of wasted potential, he basically stops being an individual after joining Bruno´s gang.
The only reason why part 5 is considered a part of Jojo is because Dio is Giorno´s father and because there are stands in it, and that´s it.

No, that would be Bruno.

>t. user who has the most retarded ideas on what constitutes good writing
You're too obsessed with your elementary fundamentals retard. Given the timeframe and actual plot developing Giorno more than his given character is unnecessary. The focus has always been the mafia he infiltrated.

>doesn't know what a flat character arc is

That's an interesting time frame. I'm a secondary but I did ponder how they could possibly pad out events when it seemed straight forward.

>mistaking character for character development

>Given the timeframe and actual plot developing Giorno more than his given character is unnecessary
Giving a personality to your characters is always necessary. Giorno's blandness reaches levels that shouldn't even be possible. He's only making it up for it with his over the top design.

Even flat character arc can be written badly.
Especially when they have near to no influence on other characters.
Bruno still woul´ve gone after the boss, even if Giorno wasn´t there.

im not gay so i dont watch jojo

>Bruno still woul´ve gone after the boss, even if Giorno wasn´t there
This. The only one Giorno truly had an influence on is Mista.

epic xD

he is too basic to be the main character, i feel like i know more about buccharati than about him

thanks xD

His development has been pretty standard so far. I don't really see why him not having stand-out development makes him a bad character though. Gio does plenty to make himself memorable, every fight with him has been entertaining as all fuck in the part. He's like Joseph and Dio's gay love child

Why so? His backstory gave plenty of reasons to believe his conviction to be a gangstar and why he wants to take down the boss and fuck up all the druggies in Italy. I think he's an alright character on his own but where he truly shines is when he's interacting with other characters. He brings out the best moments by far from Buccelatti and Mista and his interactions with Abbacchio are pretty great too in showing how he's going to become suitable to be the Don later on.

He's talking to you about personality, you're answering him with backstory, character motivations, and dynamics. Stop. You just don't get it.

Who was in the wrong here?

Narancia, for being so poor he can't afford a second box of chocolates.

I love the way Abbacchio and Fugo look so done here.

Mista was trying to feed a family of 6 besides himself so
