Vanessa's broken if the cat doesn't eat up mana like mad. If it does, a defensive opponent can win a war of attrition.

I posted this in an earlier thread, so I'm just repeating myself, but I can see Noelle having to face the owner of Undine at some point. So she'd get Undine's help after defeating the previous recipient. Then she could get an upgrade to keep up with the others without it seeming like an asspull.

Is it really broken when several characters have reality warping magic, great defensive and offensive magic, and can absorb/release attacks? The combat system always strives to find the weakness of each person's magic anyway. Everything is very balanced
