Even though HxH has become fucking doomed in terms of threads on Yea Forums for years at this point, I'll never not think that the Chimera Ant arc was one of the best arcs in anime yet alone a shounen.
Other than that I think part 5 in general has the strongest arcs so far out of JoJo, good god the Grateful Dead were amazing. I love how it flipped a trope on its head and had the less-intimidating rookie dumbass turn out to be the stronger character after having been humanised damn well through his interactions with Prosciutto and the way he had to force himself to get into gear after seeing Prosciutto not give in despite being fucking mangled half to death was top notch.
