Past part 2 the whole show becomes shit. If I could describe it imagine if every single person in Naruto got their very own susanoo and they never fought each other directly or with jutsu (think of hamon, vampire ice, etc) just via susanoos.

Episode 9 is where the true JoJo begins. The best parts are 7, 4 and 2 (in that order). Don't skip parts or stop watching, as some faggot suggested, none of the parts is bad, some are just better. Part 5 is still airing tho, keep that in mind.

Why do fags who start threads like this never explain themselves? The truth is that the anime never gets that good and the manga gets good starting at Part 7. The parts before that are enjoyable of course, but 7 does everything those parts do but way better. Better art, more interesting battle systems, better scenes outside of the fights, less reliance on generic Monster-of-the-week fights. Particularly part 8 is just a better version of part 4 with a more "important" feeling plot, less one-off fights that have no impact and a more interesting Morioh. Luckily you can start at part 7 and miss literally nothing except some fanservice so you have no excuse.

The only thing remotely good about is the final big baddy and his meme stand. But it doesn't make up for all the preceding chapters being complete shit.

Parts 1 and 2 are also MOTW, they just disguise it better. The fights are also way less interesting because hamon is completely braindead without using asspulls.

>Part 1 is a painfully boring and generic FOTN/Castlevania ripoff that doesn't get good until the final fight and even that is way too drawn out.
>Part 2 has a neat story concept, but because hamon is so limited literally every fight ends up making no sense. Every character except Joseph is complete garbage too.
>Part 3 starts very slow and has some downright awful fights and stands. Even worse, its almost completely monster of the week. Every villain has no backstory, gets beaten quickly and (except for one) has no bearing on the main plot. Only a couple ever bother to show up again.
>Part 4 introduces the idea of stand users who are beaten getting introduced into the local population and contributing to the world-building, which is a cool concept. The "mystery" aspect is complete garbage and there some bad fights, but this is a good part overall. Characters are probably the most likeable in the whole series
>Part 5 is part 3 except different setting, some more creative stands and more backstory given to the main characters. Final fight is awful and I find myself not liking the characters much at all.
>Part 6 has a unique setting that quickly gets bogged down with all the inconsequential stand fights. Final fight has great buildup and might be the best ending in the series.
>Part 7 is godly: great setting, multiple battle systems used simultaneously, a whole concurrently-running sub-plot with the race and the character arcs of its participants, stands that evolve and take new abilities, enemies that have a lot of bearing on the story and aren't usually thrown away once defeated, I could go on and on.
>Part 8 is also great, it's SoL-inspired like part 4 but does mystery WAY better. This one also has different character arcs and villains even when defeated have an impact on the story through flashbacks. The very first part to have two stand fights going on at the same time.

Starts getting kinda good with part 2. Part 3 is a little better, and introduces Stands, which are the power system from that point on. It only really gets amazing in part 4 onward, though. Everything up to that point is mostly just Araki stumbling trying to figure himself out.
