Waiting for S2. I thought it was pretty slow and Seth was too dumb in the beginning, but both the show and Seth grew on me.

It's not that people dropped it, it was just never really popular due to a combination of
1. Most people who watch/read shounen stuff on Yea Forums aren't interested in discussion, just shitposting and are too busy doing that about big name shounen manga like One Piece, BNHA etc.
2. Board purists looking down on it for the source material being made by a french guy
3. Idiot /pol/tards getting pissy about it not catering to their worldview
4. The few people left who actually like it preferring the manga due to the chanages the anime studio made

ITs hard to say because probably overall is abit worse than Black Clover but the characters are a millon times more likeable.

I say read the manga, but even that would stump Yea Forums because it comes out per holyme every 4 to 5 months.

Can't read french but the gist of it is this. While they're returning to the Artemis Institute, Seth accidentally gets in the way of this broom race going on and has to take the place of a racer he injured. He's on the same team as the runny nose kid from the rumble town arc. While the race is going on, for some reason Grimm steals Hameline's rats from their enclosure. When they find out the rats are missing, Ocoho using Gysoni to use Seth's shaman vision and Melie's tracking spell together and they find out Grimm did it. They go after him, and after getting attacked by this non-nemesis monster from below the clouds, they sneak onto this passing airship, that's transporting this huge bird nemesis and has another General Inquisitor on it. While they're on it, Seth and Doc get attacked by this witch who I think eats sorcerers to get their infections, while Melie and Ocoho deal with the Nemesis that escaped. Latest chapter ends with Seth, Melie, Ocoho, and the nemesis getting captured by this domitor sorceress that was undercover while Doc gets taken by the witch.

Doc is kidnapped by a really ugly witch who probably wants to eat him, the Grand Master of the Inquisition is a stern brown man with a stern brown waifu assistant.

Seth, Mélie and Ocoho have been captured by in a book because they weren't expecting the Order of Nemesis Dominators (probably will be translated as Tamers).

Everyone (but Doc) are going to Bome, just not how they imagined.

I just caught up with this series
The pacing is weird as fuck and I have barely any idea what the fuck is going on with the story and setting
But the art is amazing and the tone and feel of the setting carries it enough that I still want to keep going just to see what cool shit the author draws

Each volume is 8 chapters (except v1)
Each Arc is 5 volumes (as extrapolated from the two we have)
The first volume is a set up to what the problem is and how they get there
Volumes 2 set up the conflict at the location
Volume 3-4 are fighting and plot twists
Volume 5 is the all out brawl against the source of the problem, the conclusion and the bridging mini-arc to the next plotline.

Does it get any better? I think I watching up until episode 8 or 9 and fucking nothing was happening so I dropped it

Throwing away a series because of the inmigrant episodes is like throwing Goblin Slayer away because of some rape scenes.

I would say it's better than BNHA with knowing whose name the characters are because that shows introduces to many characters, this show has a a nice small cast of characters that can grow. I also heard that the second season of Radiant should be better.
