Thats not Rimuru.

Manga definitely did a better job at showing Rimuru's various outfits

>staff wanted to adapt only up to LN VOL.2 but higher-ups went against
I hate this

>supposed to be a asexual creature
>it's a woman without tits

I was really hoping for something like this.

>goddess
>Jesus

I'm okay with either one.

I guess if you look at it that way.

I want to fuck this slime no matter the form

he looks like a homeless bum from Edo period Japan

[shit cgi or bad framework Rimuru]/10

t.Leon Chromewell
She's of the OG retainers of Veldanava

It's caught up with the manga already? Why is the pace so fast?

She's cute

Merch sellers in the anime committee actually wanted to get up until Walpurgis Banquet arc (LN vol. 6), but anime staff and the author wanted to make a faithful adaptation up until merely Orc Disaster arc (LN vol. 2). Usually the merch sellers would have had the final say, but in the same anime committee was Sirius Magazine/Kodansha who publish the manga version and it would be completely against their interests for the anime to completely pass the manga, so it was brought into a compromise of adaptating up until the School arc (LN vol. 4), which means the anime would more or less end where the manga is at right now after they whipped the manga version artist into releasing several double chapters for the past year and it seems successful. The last available manga RAWs are at Hinata's appearence right now and the anime will likely end after the battle with her. So the anime will indeed pass the manga at the final main story episode (EP23), but probably only for 2-3 weeks until the manga catches up to the anime again.

Sage said she was "over 10 times stronger" when they first met. How many times stronger actually? Just a bit above 10, or a lot more? Was it too much to ask that he'd get into a fight with her so he'd actually lose for once in his life?

Probably at least thousands of times. Milim was just in idle mode then, not battle mode. And she still has her cheat skills that gives her infinite energy and infinite growth as long as the battle keeps going.

Attached: 1549897691564.jpg (1200x675, 110K)

She's up there with the final god creator of the world antagonist and the slime himself after his last powerup, possibly stronger since she has no ceiling at all.

No. How many times do I have to repeat this shit in every Slime thread until everybody gets it right? First off the "infinity" for Milim does not refer to literally having infinite energy on her, but instead refers to her being able to quickly and endlessly recharge energy without needing to rely on any external sources.
Milim's Mana Breeder Reactor, which only produces normal energy, is an inferior version of Turn Null, which Rimuru possesses and can create primordial energy. In that regard Milim doesn't stand the slightest chance against EoS Rimuru, even if Milim enhances her recharge output with her Ultimate Skill, since EoS Rimuru got enough primordial energy to create/destroy 10,000 MULTI-verses

another discord tranny. Cool.

So what's the point of this show? The MC is already perfect, he has nowhere to go in terms of character development, and never loses a fight, hell he doesn't even get close to losing a fight?

No bully

There is none. It's bad.

Lame/10
Slime form only form

>The MC is already perfect
Rimuru isn't perfect, he is too much of a cunt to his bestie when she is just trying to help him and protect his friends.

Attached: 1548698847098.jpg (1280x720, 140K)

Perfection doesn't exist. In the first place, too much success is a flaw by itself. It tends to make people complacent and careless.
Also: Rimuru still hasn't met Leon yet and Veldora is still trapped in the prison skill.

Well, the human form is OK if it's Smugrumu, but otherwise Slime-form best form.

>too much success is a flaw by itself
Are you seriously suggesting being "too good" is a valid character flaw?

Yes. Unless you want to dismiss various villain characters getting themselves killed due to all their continuous successes against "anyone-but-the-MC" in all forms of fiction as "not an actual character flaw".
Rather, it's one of the most common character flaws. It just isn't used for the MC much because the MC is supposed to be the "underdog character" in most cases. But there is no universal rule that the MC can't have that flaw as well.

watching Rimuru be nice to everyone and make friends with many different types of monsters

Not him but are you really trying to peddle that this Mary Sue shit is fine? Take a break from anime, particularly trash isekais anime, and read a book or something, you've gotten so used to absolute trash bin tier writing that you accept it and even think of it as good.
>villain characters
If the villain is perfect and only loses due to being too perfect and great, yeah he's a fucking shit villain, same goes for villains who are basically omnipotent and only lose because they get too confident. However villains work radically differently from main characters, and are usually an obstacle for the MC to overcome through development.

The hell kind of disguise is that? Just put on a mask or something

>why does hercules always win? Even when he loses he just comes back stronger and even when he dies his father who is a god makes him a god so he doesn't really die- fucking mary sue!

Yes, Heracles is a mary sue.
Especially when a centaur he murdered tricks his second wife into washing his clothes in the centaur's blood, which sends Heracles into a murderous rage tearing apart his wife and children.

What a mary sue.

soul
soulless

A character that GROWs complacent/careless due to a wave of successes isn't a Mary Sue/Gary Stu though. The difference is that for the former that kind of behaviour will bite them in the ass at some point, though that might manifest in either a "lesson learned before it's too late", or otherwise cause an irreversable tragedy, while the latter would never be troubled DESPITE the appearent complacency/carelessness (e.g. "I didn't even look, but I still saw through all your keikakus, Mr. villain"). This is a huge difference.
Complecent/Careless types exist in various forms, with "arrogance" being the most common sub-type. An example for an antagonist would be Gilgamesh from Fate/ while for a rare case of a protagonist there is Luke from Tales of Abyss, both from vastly successful franchises. So please, come down from your high-horse, user.

It's a pity though, since the anime skipped a lot of development for that. One was a scene where Gazel admonishes Rimuru after a speech for being "too naive", while in another scene Rimuru has diplomatic talks with the King of Blumund Kingdom and gets tricked into signing a Mutual Defense Agreement. Pic related.

Attached: GotTricked.jpg (976x1400, 708K)

And Rimuru couldn't magically save Shizu from dying from magic aids or whatever. You are misusing the word mary sue because you're a retard that confuses being powerful with being a mary sue.

To add to this, the production committee orignally wanted to adapt SIX light novel Volumes into the two cour season.

Attached: ShounenFagsBTFO.png (1877x173, 38K)

I don't think Shounen Sirius/Kodansha, who were part of the committee and one of the primary financers, would have ever allowed the manga version to be left in the dust like that. Though maybe at the time they were deciding this, the manga was not as successful yet.

9/10 should have been the actual design

I would like to add something to this, at the time of the planning and writing for the anime, most of the skipped content was not even shown in the manga yet (Basically the part where Rimuru goes to Ingracia and meets the kids, and parts of the aftermath diplomacy following the Charbdis fight)

There was an interview with Fuse and some of the anime studio members that came out, where Fuse talked about how they had to compromise with the production committee at 4 volumes, because the studio wanted to only adapt 2 volumes while the production committee wanted 6, and they landed at 4. Fuse himself also stated that even with only 4 volumes being adapted, they would have to skip and rearrange certain parts of the narrative in order to make the anime not seem rushed to an anime only viewer. Fuse also took the liberty of cutting out certain scenes entirely so that they could be reintegrated at a later time.

They've been adapting the LN in lieu of the manga since episode 16.

I know that, but looking at the current sales of the manga it just seems very hard to believe that Kodansha would sacrifice the manga sales, despite being the primary financer and therefore the biggest individual faction within the planning committee. Though I guess if it was back in 2016 (where production suppoedly started), then the sales were probably not nearly as high yet.

The point is that if the anime passed the manga by as much as 2 LNs worth of content, the manga (and Shounen Sirus magazine) sales would likely drop immensly. It might lead to Kodansha losing more than they gain if they really let the anime adaptate 6 LN volumes.

I would also like to mention that Micro Magazine, the publishers of the light novel are also producing this as well (as in they are also on the production committee), and therefore Kodansha may have compromised with them before compromising with 8bit and Fuse.

Yes, but Micro Magazine supposedly didn't have too much power within the committee because they are a much smaller corporation than the other members of the committee compared to the likes of Kodansha or Bandai.

>can transform into pretty much anything
>disguises himself just by changing his clothes
I hate when MCs are inconsistent about whether they're smart or dumb.

He also became taller and has wings. It's doubtful that anyone would just randomly arrive at the conclusion that he is a Slime mimicing a human who is able to use the Extra Skill Universal Shapeshift to grow the wings of a Giant Bat he once ate, unless they have prior information about him.

I want my own great sage.

Childhood is thinking that Millim or the onis are the best girls.
Adulthood is knowing full well that loli Chloe and hero of humanity Chloe is the best girl.

>Not mentioning Great Sage / Raphael / Ciel
Oh, user must have eaten something bad today, because user forgot to mention the real best girl!

No, i prefer Chloe, Ciel at second place.

Milim is for covering up and adopting as your daughter, like that sword isekai
