I have a better question for everyone in the thread. Who would have won between Rock Lee and Neji? I seriously think Lee would have destroyed Neji. Lee doesn't use ninjutsu, but I guess if Neji closed Lee's chakra points than he couldn't utilize his eight gates. Still though, I think Lee's taijtusu was way stronger than Neji. If Lee had opened up some of the gates than Neji would have been destroyed so fast.

Lot of people forget that neji is a glass cannon who went down with one punch, I still think he would style on sasooke but he can't beat gaara. And I'm not even talking about Tanuki gaara

It'd be closer than a lot of people here are suggesting but Neji would probably win eventually. Sasuke after his training with Kakashi was really fast so he'd probably be able to read Neji a lot better at melee range with his Sharingan than Naruto could. He'd put up a good fight but he'd probably take hits eventually and slow down enough for Neji to clinch it. I'd put it at like 60/40 or 70/30 in Neji's favor.

As for Sauske I think the curse seal would have activated early, and asspulled a victory for Sauske after he gets curb stomped for a while. If it doesn't activate I'm pretty sure that Neji would win. There is also a chance that Kek and the others would stop the fight. The way the exams were set up at the time, you could win your battles and still not pass the exam if they felt that you didn't conduct yourself properly. Sauske busting out a chidori against Neji would probably have been viewed poorly due to how reckless and lethal the move was. Being reckless is pretty much the main reason as to why Naruto didn't pass, despite Shikamaru passing after only one battle.

Rinnegan, but you pretty much have to be an uzumaki or a chakra tank as uzumaki already have large chakra pools to fully utilize its abilities. It can even resurrect the dead if they died recently, not to mention rip the soul out of people. Then there are the gravity attacks among other abilities.

Sharingan has a lot of drawbacks unless you can do the eye trade. Even then most of it's abilities consume a lot of chakra. I remember Sauske's eyes bleeding just from using Amaterasua couple of times. As well the genjutsu is gimped as the series goes on as everyone learns how to use external chakra to break a genjutsu, and that you can only be placed under genjutsu by looking them in the eye. Susonoo is good, but it's just a big beat stick attack.

Byakugan is pretty much the worst, it's only better than pre-mangekyou sharingan. Even if it's transplanted into the moon rabbits it only gains a strong gravity power like the Rinnegan. It is a stronger gravity power, but the rinnegan can do far more.

lee landed multiple hits on gaara and broke through the sand armour. He just didn't do any lasting damage until he used the hidden lotus, at which point his momentary twitch of pain let gaara turn things around and pull off a win.

I know it comes down to plot armor anyway, but even with Gaara able to body Lee's ridiculous force with reverse lotus, the story really set it up like if Lee had swallowed his pride and slow burned Gaara, he would have won the stamina battle. Gaara has a lot of chakra, but Kankuro explicitly points out that keeping up the sand skin exhausts him, and everyone should have been thinking about that. He seems to be comfortable in the lower gates, and just forcing him to keep the sand skin up for a little while should have bled him dry.

Then it's just a question of whether or not he can avoid the upper gates until Neji. Even if Shikamaru grabs him, it seems like his brute force would be enough if 2nd seal Tayuya was

Bakugan is a defensive eye. It gives its wielder 359.5 degrees of vision making it that almost nothing can hide from you it also allows full view of the Chakra points which combined withthe Hyuga's kenpo it supplements its lack of pure offensive capabilities.

The Sharingan is an offensive eye that grants its users Mastery of ninjutsu and genjutsu. It has additional modes that add additional offensive power to it. It does come at a Chakra cost due to it needing huge reserves of Chakra for it to be used for long periods of time.

Rinnengan is hax eye that gives its user godly powers.

Kishimoto was killing any character with potential to be more interesting than Sasuke if he had no mean to properly sideline them after the arc they appeared in.

And he's not suited to fight every Jinchuuriki. He had potential to get there, if he would not end as Orochimaru's new body. Orochimaru with Kimimaro's body would be quite powerful though.
