For me it's My Little Monster. I've watched it three times now. It's just so good.

Good taste OP. I've watched Ping Pong the Animation maybe 5 or 6 times. It's not the best anime I've seen but I really like it.
I'm so glad the adaption ended when it did, cause god damn does it take a nosedive after that
Isn't it just an inferior KareKano?
Loved the OP
>Implying I knew what that was.
I looked it up and it was made in 1998. Not sure how popular it was but I've never heard of it. My Little Monster was way more modern of an anime compared to your 1998 anime. Whether it's an "inferior" version of it is debatable. I'd have to watch KareKano to make a decision. The two anime look completely different to me.
I think that karekano overall is better but you have to applaud tonari for ending like immediately before the manga gets bad
I'm not asking for forgiveness nor comprehension but for me it's Steins;Gate 0
It's what Anno made right after evangelion, the direction is actually so good
Go watch KareKano if you liked Tonari no Kaibutsu, nerd.
For me it's pic related
I cried like a bitch when I read the last chapter of this
Eh, I kind of dropped this. Might pick it back up. I enjoyed it at first and than, I don't know. I just got bored of it.
Our Precious Conversations is Robico's better work
For me, personally, it has just gotta' be Amagi Brilliant Park.
>not knowing KareKano
How new, lad. Honestly.
Best character.
I just haven't heard of it. It came out in 1998 for god sakes. But apparently it was made by the same person who created Evangelion so I guess that's why I should know it.
You should know it because anyone who has anything more than a surface-level understand of shoujo has at least seen it, more often than not recommend it.
This, My Little Monster was good at first but completely shat the bed later on, OPP has so far been consistently great.
What is with the haircuts the shoujo boys always have?
that's how actual Japanese "men" look
Sounds like your own opinion, user. I mean, you can believe what you want. I can't say for certain how common of an anime KareKuno is given it came out in 1998. Granted it was made by Evangelion's director, though I'm not sure that's enough. I mean clearly I know what Evangelion is, but I have never heard of KareKuno. So just because you personally think everyone should know about it doesn't mean everyone actually does know about it.
You honestly sound like someone who just believes everyone will have the same taste as you and will have seen everything you have no matter how vague the series is. Work on that arrogance, user. It's not a likable quality and will hinder your relationships with people.
It makes girls horny, duh. Why do you think so many weebs have long shaggy hair? Because the anime men have it and they think it'll attract girls to them and get them a harem. Even though 95% of them look like shit with long hair. Plus it looks greasy/dirty, like they don't wash it.
Lurk 2 years before posting.
I've lurked longer than two years. Still have never heard of KareKuno. Never seen a thread for it. Never seen it mentioned. :^) but do stay mad that someone hasn't heard of an anime you think everyone should have known about that came out in 1998 and clearly wasn't as successful or as popular as Evangelion.
I wasn't trying to to come off as condescending or elitist at all. My point is that Anno is just one of those incredibly famous people in the industry. He's the Japanese George Lucas in terms of comparing their fame. You wouldn't find someone who knows Star Wars but not Indiana Jones.
You're comparing apples to oranges, user. I can understand your point, but it's not a good argument when you compare Japanese anime to American movies. I'm sure even normalfags who don't know much about anime will have heard of Neon Genesis Evangelion, but I seriously doubt they'll know what KareKuno is. On the other side of it I'm sure EVERYONE would know of Indiana Jones and Star Wars.
As I said, I get your point, but you're comparing apples to oranges.
They're not to the same magnitude of fame, and I was using some hyperbole.
But karekano was indeed popular. It was the tenth top selling manga of all time in 2000, as a shoujo no less. That's not far off from Dragon Ball, Detective Conan, and Doraemon. Like tenth most popular out of everything up to 2000? That seems pretty mainstream to me.
In the manga I thought she would end up with Yamaken considering how similar they were, but she didn't and Haru's backstory and plot ended up being really shitty and stupid,[/spoiler] so this was overall very disappointing.
Yeah, kind of. It forgoes the whole thought provoking elements and all of the visual style in favor of humor and comfiness.
>"in favor of humor and comfiness."
And that's why I loved My Little Monster. It was such a comfy anime, but I enjoyed the romance and relationship building aspect of it.
My nigger
Mine is pic related. Fun cast and slice-of life. Cute couples too.
HOLY SAME FACE, BATMAN!
Yeah, I was using hyperbole, but I think my point still stands. Everyone knows "the greats" of a particular art, especially if that art is a big part of your culture. Not every, or even most Americans watch WWE, but almost everybody knows who John Cena or Hulk Hogan is. Especially how Japan treats old people Anno is quite revered in the anime industry. Everyone knows who Steve Irwin is but who actually sits down and watches all of Crocodile Hunters, or even watches animal planet at all?
You're either a troll or a retard. Your personal ignorance is irrelevant to whether something is well-known.
>Yeah, kind of. It forgoes the whole thought provoking elements and all of the visual style in favor of humor and comfiness.
I couldn't appreciate the humor, watched some six episodes and dropped it because the characters were bland and the comedy was grating.
I'm not saying that me not knowing about it means that nobody else knows about it. I just think you're stupid for implying that everyone should know about KareKuno just because you know about it and assume it's well known. I've been on this board for years and have never seen anyone discuss it or mention it. Yes, it might be highly acclaimed, but if it's never discussed than I fail to see how I should have known about it or should be chastised for not knowing about it.
Fuck off. Evangelion was an overrated meme anime anyone.
Wow, she's literally me
Is this a shoujo thread or a "my favorite show" thread? Regardless I want an Oresama Teacher adaption.
The MLM is good except for the fact that the MC is complete shit.
The rest of the characters are grounded in reality but he's jumping off 4 Sty buildings and getting top grades without ever studying.
Plus he's a spaz-asshole.
>Oresama Teacher adaption
You and me both.
Fuck yes, at least speed up the manga TL.
>You will never punch Mitty
>You will never FUCK Mitty.
FTFY
I found it pretty mediocre. Even aside from the DUDE BADBOYS shit every single shoujo is filled with, I really disliked the main dude.
In a series that is mostly down to earth that guy is so fucking ridiculous. Was it really necessary to give him super-strength? What the fuck was the mangaka thinking
Since this is a shoujo thread, for those who are reading Tsubaki chou lovely planet, it will end on March 20th.
I rewatch it every few months or so.
Really wish it could have gotten a season 2
This was cute too. I feel it ended on a good note even though I heard shit goes down in future chapters.
I really wanted to see her with long hair though
His autism essentially acted as a power unlocker that allowed him to pull more physical strength out of his body than a normal person, who subconsciously controls their strength. When enraged he can enter an autistic rage which spikes his power even higher in a truly terrifying and cringey display of strength + threatening to throw you off the roof.
The approaching end of Tsubaki Chou is filling be worth a combination of anticipation and dread.
I agree. Mc is annoying, and she's kind of a bitch.
Its pretty comfy and funny to bad the manga went retarded with its plot.
overall I like the new manga better
Finally the op isn't a faggot and has good taste
Foes anyone have a webm of them dancing from the OP?
gotta watch this one day
They ruined Mitty's hair after the wedding
Why?
Why are her heroines so horny?
