Japanese are sub-divided into a few types mixed with other local races, i like to name them- "korean style", "chinese style", "ainu mix" and "basic japanese"

korean and chinese style are the most common groups, most idols you see are korean style, and have ancestry tracing back to korea.

"basic japanese" is usually a short rather bulky type of body with narrow eyes, and are much less common than you'd think. "pure japanese" is a meme, the thing is most japanese don't know their own ancestry.
