OPINION:
Botan's romance was shoehorned halfway through the manga and it's premise turned out completely differently from what I expected.
I wanted it to be a cute, if a little painful, story about a boy forced to crossdress for a girl he likes so that she could overcome her fear. But no, fucking Botan had to come in and make it haremshit. It couldn't just be romance. It had to be a harem.
I honestly don't hate Botan, either. She's a great character. But she deserved to be in a different series, at least one that was explicitly a harem.
I felt cheated after reading this.

Botan was the correct choice, it's how relationships happen in real life.
