Anyway, I first read the manga and his character and behavior during the Hunter Exam. Specially how he treated Gon was very interesting and I wanted to find out more about him. His design was also cool. He became my favorite character in the Heaven's Arena when we learned about his powers, the way he uses them and that he's inflitrating the Spider to fight the boss.

Thought he was going to be a throwaway villain for Gon to defeat by the end of the hunter exams. He was overpowered, sadistic, and chastising toward the main cast. Definitely interesting and dangerous, but nothing really special as far as villains go. It's during the later arcs that you start to appreciate his motivations and have fun watching his interactions.

Why is Togashis art so fucking terrible? I went over some of the manga and this is some laugh out loud bad shit. It feels like he did very rough pencil sketches of what should be happening in the panels, but unlike other authors who would then erase the sketch, draw a detailed panel and then ink it, Togashi just sent his shitty pencil sketches to the publisher. Does he really have that much clout that he can get away with literal shit? What are assistants? Hell, with the amount of dialogue in this arc, he may as well. switch over to LN format. It seems that the intention of this page was that Palm seduced him, kissed him with some sort of a drug and then spat out the remainder of the drug (the HxH wiki also describes this scene as Palm drugging him). I mean look at them. Bizeff still has his underpants on, yet he is exactly the kind of fat bastard who would go to sleep after sex, with his dick hanging out. Why would someone who is tired from sex, put his underwear back on and then fall asleep? And then there is the very clear in story fact that the infiltration was very well planned out. And there is no way Konev, Morel and others would have been okay with risking both Palms life and the mission on the off chance that Bizeff really does sleep for hours after sex. I mean really, the entire fate of the world depended on that ongoing mission. No way they would have left it up to chance. What if Bizeff woke up 20 minutes later to take a piss? The entire thing would have been ruined. So it makes sense for Palm to drug him, so she can move around freely without the risk of getting caught. The anime made the drugging part more clear, and that's a good change. Im sure they asked Togashi what his intention in this scene was, and he said that she drugged him.
