I see it said that if Epitaph sees someone getting punched through by KC, then if Diavolo erases time and runs away then when time exists again the person will still have been punched. The Stands are quite hit or miss in part 6. On on hand we have excellent ones like Stone Free or better Sky High which manages to thread the fine divide between ridiculous and threatening, but on the other hand, Marylin Manson or Goo Goo Dolls are stale rehash. To this day I don't understand what Foo Fighter's power is supposed to be.

I couldn't even get to Sky High as I dropped it half way through. I just read a summary of what happened. Jolyn was an ok protagonist but part 6 has the weakest crew to date as all of them are unlikable. Pucci didn't feel threatening. I think I like it more once the anime comes out as did part 5.

I wrote this primer on King Crimson's ability. I also included the other two previous antagonists' stands because, as the sharp-eyed reader would figure out, they're basically trial runs for separate elements of KC's ability.

Epitaph = Generates a flawless 10-second prediction of the future (the predictions are somewhat up to Diavolo/Doppio's interpretation)
King Crimson = Erases up to 10 seconds of time****
* = Nobody except Diavolo can move in erased time
* = Diavolo can't interact with anything/be interacted with in erased time
* = Everyone else's minds are shut off for the duration of erased time while their bodies perform the actions Epitaph forecasted for them
* = If something is fated to happen, the results of it will still take place even if the cause is erased (this applies to Diavolo, even if he chooses to do something other than what Epitaph forecasted)

The World = Can stop time for up to 5 seconds**
* = Nobody except Dio/Jotaro can move in stopped time
* = Everyone's minds are shut off for the duration of stopped time

Bites the Dust = Can rewind time by one hour and blows up anyone who attempts to discover Kira's identity***
* = Kira can activate this ability himself once by revealing his identity to a non-Stand user (thereby implanting them) and maintains his memory of events after the intial reset
* = Nobody except the person implanted with BtD can remember anything after the second time reset (even Kira is oblivious)
* = Events that take place in the first BtD cycle become part of fate and will repeat each subsequent cycle even if the cause of what triggered BtD in the first place is erased (the exact sequence of events can change somewhat)

Araki's known for changing the way a villain's stand works after introducing it. Bites the Dust had an unseen reset where Rohan had apparently tried using his stand on Hayato at a later point than he does in the manga, Whitesnake was originally a stand that produced acidic white dream goo, and D4C was ten times the mindfuck it ended up being (Who Shot Johnny Joestar is 10x as confusing as King Crimson). King Crimson is no exception. Fortunately, the anime somewhat mitigated this by including a throwaway line about how Diavolo showed it to him as "a parting gift".

Remember how GE's life-infused punch caused Bruno's consciousness to get ahead of his body? Well, King Crimson essentially did the opposite of that.

Alright now you're confusing me. Ironic because both the super consciousness and bruno pillar shenanigans never came up again, but the only way it would make sense that bruno was behind the pillar would be that:

Point A: Bruno punches Diavolo.
Point B: Bruno goes around the pillar to check if he's dead.

Since Point A never happens, Point B still exists, so he's at Point B when KC's effect wears off. The only reason he sees himself behind the pillar that would make sense is that Diavolo made Bruno aware of KC's effect to terrify him.

However, in that crucial interim, any number of factors can interfere or the user himself might "choke" and screw up due to a lack of resolve. KC erases all that drama, doubt, and even the slightest possibility of failure by skipping to "the good part."

Part 6 has some of my favorite stands in the series. They're unique and surreal and create interesting scenarios like Jailhouse Lock, Underworld, Bohemian Rhapsody, and C-Moon. Stands that play with the environment.

I'll give you Dragon's Dream and maybe Heavy Weather with the subliminal bullshit.

Most of said asspulls have buildup to the climax of the fight. Eruption just seems out of no where and an even more deus ex machina way of ending it than the rest of them. I like part 2 but that just seemed bad.

I think it's fucking bullshit that we get the full story of the Stone Mask and by extension the Pillar Men, but the fucking Stand Arrow tribe doesn't get shit beyond some /x/-tier theorizing by a crippled Frenchman. Part 6 should have delved deeper into them like Part 2 did with the Stone Mask.

Part 4 introduced the arrow and connected it to DIO (Okuyasu's dad), 5 revealed how DIO got the arrow to begin with as well as briefly exposit on its true origins, and 6... goes right back to DIO. I was just musing about a hypothetical part 6 that continued in that direction, and you and several other people jumped down my throat. It's pretty funny, honestly. What's wrong with appreciating a little worldbuilding?

I don't understand why people call the part 5 animation bad. Weren't you there for part 1 and 2's run of its course on TV? Or part 4? Part 5's anime has been consistently good with moments that far outdo the manga (The whole Soft Machine fight, the dance scene, all the additional stuff they've added to flesh out Gio and the other characters while removing dumb shit like Fugo's monologue sucking Gio's dick.)
There's not even been any significantly notable QUALITY moments let alone a QUALITY episode (e.g. Surface or Mikitaka's first ep) like in the other adaptations. 21 eps in and every ep has been done in house and the quality has been very consistent with good to excellent animation, great direction and really solid art and OST. They've nailed every iconic moment in the part so far too, the last episode was one of the best villain reveals in the show up to this point.
What is the anime actually doing that makes it bad? I personally think this is the best season of JoJo yet.

They've been practicing Araki's styles with the Rohan OVA's too so it's clear they fully intend on adapting SBR and JJL (the director said JJL is the part he wants to adapt the most too in an interview.)

Honestly they've cut a lot less stuff than I was anticipating. I think the additions they've made in general have been really good too, it feels like a more complete version of part 5 from the get-go. I like a lot how there's been a bigger push on Gio throughout so he doesn't feel like he's being overshadowed by Bruno, there's a lot of moments that make the two seem like equals the same way Johnny and Gyro were, like in the last episode when Gio and Bruno exchanged looks before he went to confront the boss

Part 6 is actual dog shit and I'm going to tell you why.

The art is garbage. Female anatomy is all over the place. Jolyne's hips and limbs are constantly the worst thing I've seen with my two eyes.
Jolyne is a terrible Jojo. Her entire character is based on daddy issues. And that's it. First it was I hate my father and then drastically into I have to do this for my father despite my feeligns 10 minutes ago.
Her supporting cast is not good. Not one of them. The only decent character is Weather Report and he's a memoryless sister banging faggot.

My biggest problem with six is that it's gross. And not body horror gross it's because they made everything unnecessarily sexual because Jolyne is a girl. The first chapter is Jolyne masturbating. And the next couple is her rolling around naked. None of the boys have ever been written like that. None of the boys talk about masturbating. None of the boys are ever really seen outside their uniforms. Just Jolyne. Just the girls are like this and it's disgusting and gross. And it's only done because most of the cast is female. Jolyne in crisis talking about how she's jealous about how snails can fuck anything. Hermes actually saying "dries up like a maxi pad," are you fucking kidding me?

I'm glad you all love part six because the tits make your dick hard but to defend this shit is ridiculous. It's the weakest most poorly written part by far and reading it was agony.

The only thing that saved this part, if you could call it saved, is Pucci. Pucci is good and I'm glad he reset the universe so none of this god awful part ever technically happened.

Despite the flaws of part 6, he really carries every scene he's in. He's one of Araki's best-written characters in general, everything from his design to his backstory to how his Stand itself reflects a fuck ton about his character just from how it looks and acts is top-notch. God imagine how part 6's ending is going to look animated.
