I'm rewatching some of my favorite Zexal eps now. Why was it so damn good holy shit. Not even talking about Zexal II here, just the WDC arc alone had plenty of fun, well-animated episodes.
I thought it was just because of his ramen consuming habits. He had a strange character arc because of writer changes and executive meddling. They barely even maintained his rivalry with yusei.

Yuma is fun once he learns how to set monsters and read card effects.
I can understand why people don't like him, but eventually I found it hard not to root for Yuma's genuine determination and enthusiasm. It also helps a bit that Yuma's thing about having a magnetic personality or making people happy through dueling felt way more legitimate than anything similar that Yusei and Yuya tried with kizuna and egao.
All this Zexal talk is really making me miss it. Solid animation, soundtrack, characters, plot all around. I got into ygo during Zexal era and it'll always have a special place in my heart, though I like every series so far.

Sorry, I'm on that YGOmoibleES engine I was testing a Neos deck out against the sandbag deck in MR4. Double Hero Attack needs you to control a Hero fusion that has E HERO NEOS listed on the material for you to be able to special summon any Hero fusion monster regardless of it's summoning conditions.
At least, it should I had Brave Neos in the extra deck zone, 3 neo spacians and 1 Prism. I tribute Brave Neos and one of the spacians for Honesty Neos, I have Prisma dump another Neos to change it's name and use it to fusion summon out Flare Neos, so I should then meet the requirements for Double Hero Attack,right? as my field is now

Ignoring the summoning conditions here just means you bypass the condition that says you have to fusion summon it, period, but you still have to done it correctly the first time before you sent it to grave.

I used Miracle Contact to get it out and after trying again just now I managed to bring back a properly summoned Dark Neos, I'm starting to think this card isn't really good for Neos decks but rather Elemental Hero decks or Elemental Masked Hero decks as those fusions hit the grave far more than neos fusions.

Double Hero Attack is a bit of a gimmicky card since it's a direct homage to Shining Flare Wingman and Magma Neos being summoned in the duel against Yugi. It was presumably intended for use in some kind of HERO/Neos hybrid deck.
That's rather difficult considering a neos deck needs Neos on the field turn 1 or it's gonna lose, just like Dark Magician decks do, oddly enough none of Yusei's decks are reliant on Junk Warrior and Stardust Dragon and they still haven't printed something for him to allow him to treat another monster as a synchro monster, just an ability or spell that could do that for him would help his deck in spades to get out those 3 level 12 dragons or those 2 level 10s, maybe that should have been the ability for his Junk Connector link.
Utopia Double has effectively given Yuma a 1 turn kill for his ace, I mean it's not likely gonna work in a real fight but if it does it's the end of your opponent.

I'm torn between Vrains. There are parts I like (Onizuka, Spectre, the dislike of AIs, Ghost Girl's thighs) but at the same time there is some real questionable stuff as well (MIRROR FORCE, Recap episodes, small cast). Regardless, I will stick by Revolver until the end.

The only people Yusaku would hang out with without the dark ignis around are Kusanagi, Naoki, and Aoi.

a lot of forgiveness could be given to the animation if they put in more effort for the art direction/overall style and aesthetic of the show and had more creative storyboarding. Vrains doesn't look quite as garish and stock boring as other toyetic anime, but it really gets close many times.

Women don't play card games (except maybe mobile), so it's near impossible to have a great female character. In a sense Kotori and Anzu are the best we can get. This isn't to say I think most other characters in card game anime are anywhere near perfect either.

I really hate they made Selena lose to Yugo for no reason. She came from an experienced Academia, while Yugo was just a literalwho from slumbers. The Synchro arc wanked him way too hard for me to enjoy his comedic character or anything.
All that lead to nowhere obviously, because he had to be teleported in the climax of that arc.
