Have Sasuke kill himself due to Chakra Exhaustion trying to kill the powered up Itachi.
Remove any reference to the Otsutsuki clan.
Have the series end at the Pain arc except don't revive everyone that got nuked, have Naruto still be treated as a hero like he always wanted and imply that he'll be Hokage but end it on a serious note.

the whole approach of hokage was just wrong. its just a figurehead position. all of narutos actions prove he was a hero for the people. he should have realized that kind of recognition is more valuable than becoming ninja president. and there should have been a moment where they do nominate him for that position. However he rejects it and takes on a new position that out classes hokage. a world kage of some kind.

akatsuki's story didnt have much pay out and there should have fleshed out more. re work the 4th ninja world.

As long as Naruto and to a very very slightly lesser extent Sasuke are still there pretty much all the series' issues will still persist, they're objectively bad characters who drag all the other characters down with them whenever either of them are on screen
So my change would be to just end "Naruto" at the end of pre-timeskip altogether I guess, if we can't change anything at the beginning

Konan doesn't die to Obitobi and participates in the war and fights Edo Hanzo and helps Naruto and Killer Bee + Kakashi and Gai fight Obitobi.

Kakashi does not become hokage instead naruto is the sixth has a family with hinata and is not an absent dad. The end.

Shit idea. The bijuu are interesting because they are Narutoverse's nukes, it (should) add tension and stakes between the nations and villages, because each nation has their version of nukes. Naruto fucks it up, however, because we never see Cold War-ish environments the way they could really happen.

All in all it's an interesting concept that they fucked up.

There's an oncoming apocalypse that Akatsuki is working to prevent, in their own batshit insane way. Thats why they need to capture the Bijuu. The Bijuu are some sort of planetary self defense mechanism.

Time skip starts with Akatsuki having captured all but Gaara, Naruto, and two others. That three year time limit from the preskip is close, so Akatsuki get super active about proceeding with thier plan.

Then just the usual fight Akatsuki to save the Jinchuuriki. Somehow defeat them, maybe a twist betrayal from within Akatsuki or some shit. Ninjas learn the truth, and how they've fucked up by taking down Akatsuki. Blah blah blah, shit gets dark, apocalypse starts happening, everybody has to band together, but Sasuke and Orochimaru are being dicks, two front war, big twists, shocking reveals etc etc. The standard shenanigans.

Make sasunaru happen. Sakura dies and hinata ends up with kiba.

and yes tsukuyomi should be the only mangekyo power, since it at least stays in line with the genjutsu aspect of the sharingan and hypnotic eyes aren't uncommon in folklore as well as enhanced perception. They made it way too overpowered.

All the same shit happens up until the end of the Pain arc. There is no Obito, Madara or Kaguya. No ninja war. After beating Pain, the final arc is a confrontation with Sasuke that can go similar to how it ended in the manga, or just that Naruto wins this time.

The power creep got too stupid. Sage mode was really cool and strong, but had obvious limitation to not make it overpowered. He basically only uses it one fight, then gets powered up way too fast, like 3 more times.

No, make them canonically gay so at least we get a satisfying ending to their stupid bullshit. Shikamaru and Gaara and pretty much everyone else in the show post-chuunin exams were better friends to Naruto than Sasuke (and Shikamaru and Choji were his friends BEFORE Sasuke was) yet he doesn't muh over any of them nor does he call any of them his brother despite having a far more bro-ish relationship with Shikamaru. If he was in love with Sauce we'd at least get a proper explanation as to why he's such a fag plus we wouldn't get Boruto.

Fuck Kaguya, fuck the zetsus, and fuck the war arc. Fuck Everything else. The only problem that really matters in part II is that Sasuke literally looks at Naruto dead in the eyes and tells him he's going to kill both him and everyone he ever loved and Naruto fucking responds to that with "I'm glad to have met you." unironically.

What happened was Kishimoto wanted to write cool fun to read evil villains like Dio, but also have them be redeemable. So because he is a hack on top of having no balls at all, he never made a choice, so Naruto calls the guy who killed his parents, tens of thousands and his future brother-in-law not hours ago "the coolest guy", Minato acts like Obito is somehow a victim of Kakashi's negligent friendship, despite Obito literally killing his wife, Hashirama smiles and makes peace with Madara, after the later fucking bisected his grandaughter, and who could forget Kabuto running an orphanage filled with kids whose parents he most likely killed himself.

Part II's ending reads like a gay fixfic happy ending to Phantom Blood where rather than either Jonathan or Dio killing one another, Dio suddenly realized in the literal last chapter that he actually did love and appreciate Jonathan, then turned good and Jonathan and Dio became BFFs.

Sasuke betrayed and hurt everyone he ever met, and nobody ever holds anything against him. There's literally not a single woman involved in Sarada's birth who Sasuke didn't try to murder at one point or another, and that includes Orochimaru.

But seriously, imagine you're Kishimoto. From a purely writing standpoint, why the hell would you have Sasuke literally show he doesn't give a shit if Sakura fucking burned alive in front of him, only to have those two marry not twenty chapters later? Are you fucking stupid?

Bring back Naruto being good at transformation. One of the coolest things he ever did was the shuriken trick on Zabuza. With the number of clones he can generate later on that shit could be terrifying and amazing.
Rasengan stops being fuckhuge and being able to throw it is the extent of Naruto’s changes to it.
This happens in a lot of series. When the tools are simple, the battle becomes complex. When the tools are complex enough to accomplish everything on their own, it becomes a DBZ screaming match.
