You can't name a single other studio that would do a better job. This visual novel has lots of detailed designs. Any other studio would cut down on that detail to make it easier to animate and then barely animate it anyway, they'd also fill it with CGI shit.

No other studio can handle animating something this detailed and on top of that Kyoani have the best consistency in the industry. It would be in the best hands.

I don't think the story of SubaHibi is too difficult to adapt to anime as far as VNs are concerned. Neither is Sharin no Kuni, just have to be careful with the camera never showing what is following Kenichi (that could even be a great foreshadowing to the audience, always cutting the door closing behind Kenichi etc.).

Certainly not as difficult as something like Ever 17 which would actually be just straight up impossible to adapt.

The reason SubaHibi anime wouldn't work is if it'd have to be possible to show on TV. They'd have to cut like half of it.

Yes. I don't remember anything apart from some ghost shenanigans but it's on my list so I must've watched it when it aired. Since I don't remember anything, it must've been mediocre, not exceptionally good but not exceptionally bad either.
