Based Hachimaki I'd probably last an hour before I unknowingly fall asleep.
Henry Rodriguez
Thank you!
Josiah Gray
Somewhat reminds me of Lem's "Tales of Pirx the Pilot". Same kind of mix of technical stuff and psychological/mystery elements.
Lincoln Lewis
I'd let her beat me up.
Jayden Perry
I don't think you'd survive.
Nicholas Allen
Thanks as always. I wonder how much I could last in that chamber.
Jackson Diaz
Thanks, user. I'm slowly connecting more with the characters. Hachimaki in particular. He's the most entertaining of the bunch.
While I find the chapters quite interesting, I think the problem I'm having so far is that the storytelling is kinda longwinded and spends a lot of time on minor details. Which is okay, even makes it feel more "real", but also makes it "havier" and less dynamic.
Hudson King
I hardly ever run into someone who's read Pirx. Great stuff, also with a lot of absurdly funny moments.
Luke Baker
I think part of that is just how long each chapter is. If it was the same length overall, but with each chapter split in two you'd have more breathing room and it might not feels so heavy.
Jackson Adams
that episode where he had to fight against his dark side/fears... it was cool
Ethan Powell
Damn, I want to rewatch the anime but I already know I will be pissed off by the ending.
Ryan Allen
Bump!
Isaiah Johnson
I forgot how good Planetes is. Thank you! Pirx is probably the hardest of Lem's sci-fi, and one of the best.
Jaxson Peterson
thx for daily manatee
Jack Rodriguez
Best time of the day.
Henry Wilson
>I think the problem I'm having so far is that the storytelling is kinda longwinded and spends a lot of time on minor details. It's not much about developing the history but exploring some space related topics. The anime tried to fix that in a very good way. It's pretty much a love letter to the space.
Michael Smith
Bump.
Levi Rogers
The ending to the manga is even worse so wait until you're done reading the manga and the anime will seem even better in comparison.
Oliver Brown
thanks, you give me a reason to watch the anime. I must trust Goro and Ichiro Okuchi
Cooper Reyes
he is going to get stranded in space, isn't he.
Carter Baker
i wish

I got both of the official Dark Horse omnibuses of this manga for my birthday last year, and upon reading it, wished I could apologise to the gift-giver for wasting their hard-earned money.
Seriously, THIS is the that shit that gets praised to high heaven? And you're also telling me that it was 'seinen', meaning that it was written for grown-ass ADULTS?
You people ain't seen shit yet. Just hang about and you'll see what I mean.
Noah Diaz
it's not seinen?
Adam Flores
Only watched the anime here. What's wrong with the manga ending?
Michael Green
vapid
Lincoln Smith
I watched the anime and I enjoyed how realistic it was. The first half had some great episodic stories. But once the second half kicked in and the plot began, I lost all interest. The mc became a faggot and there was nothing going on that would have made me care. Does the manga differ much from the anime? And does it go past the anime?
Luke Rodriguez
The translation is largely off. The translator didn't even learn the difference of Mars and Jupiter.
Luke Jones
Strong black woman (the one with the shitty stray-dog-hoarding son) just gives up and decides to do nothing about the Kessler Syndrome that will no doubt cut off Earth from the rest of solar system (probably should've taken Colonel Sanders up on his offer. Whoops!). Hachimaki marries dumb bitch ("Ooh! I HATE grownups!") and finally gets to go on his dream mission to Jupiter... which he'll probably never get to return from due to the aforementioned Kessler Syndrome. And wasn't dumb bitch pregnant as well?
