Kaiba's deal was that games, even ones with your life on the line, were still at least games. Everything in Death-T was at least vaguely "fair" play in that you could win even with the odds stacked against you, and anything with friends was cooperative in nature.
Marik mind controlling Jou to duel Yugi to the death isn't that. He's forced two people on the same side against each other, with no intention of ever providing an out to their situation. Since neither player dying would be preferable to either party, it's basically a lose/lose scenario, or even worse since Marik can mind control Jououchi into letting time run out so both he AND Yugi die. It's not an actual game so much as a glorified Bond villain contraption.

Hydradrives are based off nagas which are a lot like hydras. Bohman is based off kumokoten. One of the four heavenly kings who has dominion over nagas and this is why he has a third eye.
