Mid 2000's?

Attached: 1544115371742.png (640x640, 820K)

The 80's and early 90's

This the answer now post old anime gifts

Everything until it made it's way into the realm of normalfags about 5 years ago.

The time period when Zeta Gundam aired, and that's it.

Attached: 7.gif (600x433, 1.95M)

Do you think it will ever be surpassed in the '20?

hi casval

OLD GOOD
NEW BAD

So it must have been some time during the olden days, innit?

go back to Yea Forums please.

t. pleb zoomer

>until it made it's way into the realm of normalfags
So, 1940? Because ever since 1950 it's been normalfag territory.

I think he's talking about western normalfaggotry

The 00s, duh. They have actual artistic merit and detail.

now

Any time because more good can be created and already existing good is still available

from 2004 to 2014. First of all, most oldfags retardedly lump the 80s and 90s together even though they were two completely different eras in the industry. They have to do this because there was very little quality produce. Just look any random year in the 80s.
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:1987_anime
half of those tv shows are for literally toddlers and don't hold up today. meanwhile look at any from the mid 00s

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:2006_anime_television_series
yeah a lot of shit but you also got a lot of quality shows that hold up today. and not just quality shows but also medicore shows but something like buso renkin is still FAR better than the average tv show on the 80s like zillion.

I ain't nitpicking either, try it with any year from the 80s and compare it to the mid 00s and you will have the same result. Find an 80s show with 50 episodes of animation on par with a Bones show like Soul Eater. pro tip: it doesn't exist

Actually zoomers are the ones wanking over old anime too. They're tearing each other apart trying to out contrarian each other.
Zoomers don't actually watch old anime though, just short clips on twitter and amvs on youtube.

Digital Animation is worthless.

Obviously there isn't one but the late 80s and early 90s is an era I'm particularly interested in.

Everything on here looks good except for the bottom right.

I literally asked my parents to order me the Escaflowne DVDs during the late 90s back when I was like 10. I was a chad who lost his virginity at age of 14, too. That's about as normalfag as you can get. And I am not even American, meaning I didn't have a dedicated anime TV station in my country. Anime has been normalfag territoriy for decades in the West. Every single kid I grew up with was a Dragon Ball fan.

This is correct

Dark age: 60's to early 70's
Golden age: late 70's to early 80's
Silver age: late 80's to early 90's
Rennaisance age: mid 90's to 2010
Post rennaisance age: 2010 to present

Attached: 1550499207310.png (960x776, 728K)

People lump the late 80s and 90s together because they mistakenly assume the ova boom was indicative of the quality of all anime being produced around that time. Japan's economy was also doing well at that time. Then it crashed and characters in every show in the 90s were hungry all the time and trying to scrape together cash to buy a meal.

>Dark age: 60's to early 70's
shit taste.

Yesterday.

You know its true

We are entering a new dark age of trash CG right now. Might just be a rocky transition period to cg that is indistinguishable from 2D, but probably not.

>define golden age
The time most of my favourites are from. DUH

Man how the fuck is this gif 200kb, it's so good

Quit being salty faggot

Attack no. 1 is awful shoujo sports melodrama.

From the start of the Bubble Era until the Japanese realized the Bubble Era was over. So early 80s to early/mid 90s. Big budgets, cel animation, optimistic society, last generation where teenagers were a big proportion of the country.

Because I actually have an interest in the history of anime and don't just come here to post reaction images.

>define golden age
When all of the most important directors & people of the industry were still alive & active in their prime.

To define important people: those with the most influence on the industry. i.g. Takahata, Ishiguro, Dezaki, Tezuka.

Such an intellectual. He know of THE BOOM. Do you also know of the CRASH OF 2008? Or the Tōhoku quake OF 2011? Maybe you even have some insight of the ERA OF THE WARRING STATES! You're like a book with an UNLIMITED AMOUNT OF PAGES. So admirable, so sugoi.

>Dark age: 1950 to early 1960
>golden age: late 60s to 1980
>Silver age:1980 to 1990
>Renaissance: 1990 to 2010

This but unironically

Probably 2000 - 2011.

I wouldnt consider the 50's or 60s to be very influential

Aww man, why am I wasting another day arguing with people on the internet when I should be doing something productive like exercising or drawing.

>when was the Golden Age of Anime?
When it was still called "Japanimation."

Attached: hqdefault[1].jpg (480x360, 7K)

1995 - 2010

Fight me

Attached: fuckyou.jpg (600x338, 72K)

>I wouldnt consider the [...] 60s to be very influential
Then you'd be wrong.

It basically defined what anime is/what would become. Granted not much really existed in the 50s, but towards the end of the decade Toei started up on feature film animation. Toei of course, housing the likes of Miyazaki, Takahata, Mori and Otsuka during this time. Some of the most influential figures in anime ever.

There is good stuff to find in all eras. You are a pleb if you limit yourself to specific decades.

Not you again faggot

Every day until you people end your miserable lives.

Attached: smuggie reply.jpg (882x624, 72K)

influencial != good

>it would define what it would become

Yeah but thats not when the classics were made. I'm talking stuff like ashita no joe, mazinger, lupin, aim for the ace, doraemon, gundam, etc.

In terms of artistry, mid 80s to mid 90s.

80s-90s OAV

There are plenty of classics from that period.

Always now.
A human being who is immersed in a nostalgic is a trash.

Genuinely curious as to why Miyazaki isn't included. With Nausicaa, he was able to do what Tezuka always wanted to do yet failed to in terms of animation.

2004-present unironically
People only remember good shows from 90s and before.

Because he's still alive

>the ironic weeb virgin
80s ovas are so a e s t h e t i c
>the chad japanimation fan
finds quality shows regardless of era

you will NEVER understand what TRUE art is, brainlet plebistian weeb teen pseud
