The problem with Kiki isn't the ending, but the film format that mandates some sort of climax towards the end of it, but you can't fix that. The ending is clear, Kiki found her place in town and successfully runs her small business.
The ending to Howl's is one of the few things great about it. It cuts to Howl's rebuilt castle and they move on. There is nothing wrong about this, other than it being in a bit of a hurry to make sure the film is shorter than two hours.
Spirited Away ended when Chihiro realized Haku's true name, the rest is tying up a lose end, something you need to address.
Porco Rosso was fine. Fio simply narrates what happened to her after the whole world war business concluded and it's shown that Marco is alive and well after everything. It's a quick ending, but that's just part of Miyazaki's style.

The best Ghibli film is The Wind Rises, followed closely by Mononokehime.

I'm not saying that I don't understand what's happening in the endings, it's that they just make it all happen to fast, or in just too much at once, as if trying to very quickly wrap everything up in a bow. Or at times to just dump a 10 pound sack of info on you.
I personally don't think I've watched either Spirited Away or Howl's since I watched both in theatres, but I remember having to stifle my laughter at both while I watched the endings, they were so ridiculous. And in Howl's case I clearly remember that I wasn't alone.

They are some astoundingly good films and definitely deserve to be on the list, but seeing them flooding the top has completely outed this list as being made by normies with Mario Syndrome. Just because something was good, old, and contributed a lot to the industry does not make it the best thing in that industry. Spirited Away is just like the original Mario game where people say "yeah, I did X once so you could say I do it all the time and the only one I ever had any experience with is Y so it's my favorite".

I'd honestly bump Spirited Away down only one or two (Death Note is NOT better but that's a different issue) and space the rest of Ghibli's works out by 2-5 titles, since there is at least a bit of notable difference in quality between them.

The problem isn't the sample size. The problem is who that included as I'm positive the vast majority of voters didn't even have a top 3 list as opposed to the people that actually understand and frequently watches the medium.
I am in agreement that Ghibli deserves a spot over trash like SAO, but owning the majority of the top 5 is unrealistic and there are definitely shows and movies that at least touch that level of quality and storytelling.

Attack on Titan is alright, despite its popularity. Though the Anima lacks the intensity of the Manga sometimes it definitely deserves to be there, if not that high on the list.
